36. Engine displacement is the measure of the cylinder volume swept by all the pistons of the piston
engine. The piston moves inside the cylinder bore. The cylinder bore in the form of circular cylinder

respectively. A is on the job for 50% of the time. B on the job 30% of the time and C on the job for
20% of the time. All the items are put into one stockpile and then one item is chosen at random.
(a) What is the probability of getting a defective item?
(b) If the item so chosen is found to be defective. What is the probability that it was produced by B?
