infrastructure, administrative and financial decentralization of powers and functions emerged as the
facilitating factors. The innovation ecosystem includes:
a. Entrepreneurship Development Cell (E-Cell)

IIT-M.

a. Entrepreneurship Development Cell (E-Cell):

The E-Cell of SRIHER (DU) is imparting entrepreneurship skills among students and faculty
members through seminars, workshops, e-week on campus, etc. The MoU with National
Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) enabled entrepreneurial education with a mix of classroom and
practical training facilitated by the consulting and education team. In these programs, faculty
members play the role as facilitators and also undergo Faculty Development Programmes, by
participating in the Entrepreneurship Educator Workshops of NEN and in turn train other faculty
members. A course named ‗NEN Course 100‘ was launched as a blended learning course with
faculty members as facilitators. Every year NEN E-Week is conducted to encourage
entrepreneurial activities and students put up stalls and exhibit their ideas. Student E-leaders are
chosen who coordinate the student-led entrepreneurial activities.

(DU). In 2019, BIRACDBT, Gov. of India has sanctioned the BIONEST-BIOINCUBATOR to SRIIC.

In the last five years (2014-2019), six incubatees/start-ups are working with SRIIC. They are M/s.V
ClinBio Labs (P) Ltd. (2014-2017), M/s. Med Genome (P) Ltd. (2017), HCL Technologies Ltd. -
Biology Division (2018), AIMED Technologies (P) Ltd. (2019), M/s. Ignobilis Terrain LLP(P) Ltd.
(2019) and Only Health (P) Ltd. (2019). An organic indoor plant was started in 2018 in the Faculty
of Management.
