INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, people are more focused on eating healthier foods and
making better choices for their bodies. This has led to the creation of new, nutritious
snacks like papaya fries, which are made from the tropical fruit papaya. Papayas are
not only known for its refreshing taste but also for its rich nutritional profile. This
makes papaya an excellent ingredient for creating healthier snacks that meet the
demands of today’s health-conscious consumers.

Papayas are known for their health benefits. They are rich in Vitamin C, which
helps strengthen the immune system, and Vitamin A, which is good for vision and
skin health. Papayas also contain fiber, which helps with digestion, and antioxidants,
which protect the body from harmful substances and reduce the risk of diseases.
Unlike regular potato fries, papaya fries are naturally lower in calories and fat, making
them a healthier choice for people who want to eat more nutritious snacks.

This study focused on students at Mindoro State University Bongabong

Campus as the target market for papaya fries. Students are often in search of
affordable, tasty, and healthy snacks that fit into their active lifestyles. Papaya fries
can appeal to people of all ages, especially younger generations who are interested in
healthier and more sustainable food options. Since papayas are often grown locally in
tropical regions, papaya fries can support local farmers and reduce environmental
impact by using fresh, local ingredients.

As students become more aware of the importance of healthy eating practices,

this study will explore the market potential of papaya fries, examining their health
benefits, affordability, appeal to the consumers, and their role in promoting better
eating habits among the youth.
