Q: - How are you…..

Ans: Fine sir,…….What about you.

Q: - May I sit ……..
Ans: - Sure….have a seat…….Thanks Sir,
I am very Thankful to you to give me a chance for Interview…
Q: - You’re Name…..
Sir: - My Name……..XYZ
Q: - How old are you...
Ans: - Sir, I am XYZ Year.
Q: - May I ask some question to you………..or………Sure
Q: - Did you like Pakistan……
Ans: - Ya………Thanks
Q: - Do you have Driving License…….
Ans: - yes Sir…….I know driving
Q: - Are you married….
Ans: - Yes Sir.
Q: - How much Experience have you…..
Ands: - Above to 15 years….
Q: - What is SDH….
Ans: - SDH stands for Synchronous Digital Hierarchy….The feature of SDH is
Byte to Byte Transmission……Ring system…..Protective System…Monitoring system…
Centralized System…Add Drop System...Computrized System...
Q: - STM-1 could you tell me structure Frame….
Ans: - STM structure consists on 9-Rows and 270 colums…9 Rows and First 9 Colums have Over head
section...RSOH ,Pointer ,MSOH….Regenerator section overhead, Multiplex section over head.
RSOH has 27 bytes (first 3 rows and 9 Colums 3x 9=27 bytes)...and Pointer has 9 Bytes (1x 9=9)
MSOH has 45 Bytes (5x 9=45 Bytes)……Other 261 Colums are used for pay Load.
Q: - What is the Bit rate of STM-1
Ans: - 155.52 Mbits
Q: - How many Telephone channels in 2 Mbit
Ans: - 30 Telephone Channels……
Q: - How many Time slot are used for Signaling.
Ans: - 0 and 16 time slot are used for signaling.
Q: - PCM-30 stands for…….
Ans: - Pulse Code Modulation……This system is used for to connect Analog system to Digital system
and digital system to analog system…32 telephone Channels / time slots are used in this system.
Q: - SDM System…….
Ans: - Single Division Multiplexing…..At the beginning of Telecommunication, Single wire is used for
Communication…only one wire is used for one Channel….
Q: - FDM System………
Ans: - Frequency Division Multiplexing…Frequencies are used in this system…12 Frequencies are
transmitted in this system...4KHz frequency is used for per channel……12 x 4=48 KHz band is
used in this system….
Q: - TDM System………
Ans: - Time division multiplexing. In this system. Time slots are transmitted in this system in different
times. After every 125micro second, 32 time slots are transmitted...32 time slots are transmitted in
one pulse frame...
Q: - Pulse frame……..
Ans: - one pulse frame consists on 32 time slots...
Q: - Multiframe……
Ans: - combination of 16 (0……15) pulse frame are called multiframe.
Q: - Time slot…..or Byte……
Ans: - 8 bits combination is called one byte…..
Q: - Speech frequency……
Ans: - 4 KHz……. (0.3 KHz to 3.4 KHz) or (300 Hz to 3400 Hz)
Q: - What is the abbreviation of STM
Ans: - Synchronous Transport Module
Q: - How many E1s are working in one STM-1
Ans: - 63 E1s…….or ….63 2MBit
Q: - How many 34 Mbits are working in STM-1
Ans: - 3 34MBit are working in STM-1
Q: - What is the signal capacity of STM-1
Ans: - 155.52 MBit
Q: - How many Bytes are used for Over head section
Ans: - 9 x 9 = 81 Bytes are used.
Q: - MS-RDI stands for….
Ans: - Multiplex Section Remote defect indication
Q: - MS-RSOH Stands for……
Ans: - Multiplex Section Regenerator Section Overhead
Q: - Define the RSOH…….
Ans: - The Regenerator section is the path between regenerators. Part of the overhead (RSOH,
regenerator
Section overhead) is available for the signaling required within this layer.
Q: - Define the MSOH…….
Ans: - The multiplex section covers the part of the SDH link between multiplexers.
Q: - VC stands for……..
Ans: - The carriers (VC, virtual containers) are available as payload at the two ends of this section.
Q: - Which type of Fiber is used for SDH Transmission...
Ans: - Single-mode fibers with wavelength (1310 nm and 1550 nm) are the medium of choice. A further
possible method of transmitting SDH signals is via radio link or satellite paths.
Q: - STM-1 Frame structure……
Ans: - It is made up from a byte matrix of 9 rows and 270 columns. Transmission is row by row, starting
with the byte in the upper left corner and ending with the byte in the lower right corner. The frame
repetition
Rate is 125 ms. each byte in the payload represents a 64 kbit/s channel.
