Introduction

This course contains 11 lessons and covers the patterns in being and the complexity
of purpose in depth. As the sixth course in the Rave Cosmology Program, it was
originally taught by Ra Uru Hu in the Spring semester of 2007.

Lecture One
The Drama of Profile

Hello, welcome to all of you. As some of you know it’s been quite an opening week
here and I’ve been introducing a lot of very new information, very powerful
information. Today is going to be no exception. It’s something that I have been
looking forward to investigating for a very long time. This course basically gives me
that opportunity to be able to look at profile in a way that nobody has ever looked at
it before. It really is about understanding the drama; the drama of a life, the drama
of a mind that makes up the story of our purpose and the story of our purpose that
is found in the profile.

But of course, all of you have been at one level or another trained in profile in terms
of the 12 line profiles. And line profiles for me are sort of generics. They’re
generalizations; they’re ways of organizing an overview of a specific chemistry. But
they are not, in that sense, precise. That is, there are an extraordinary number of
possibilities in terms of profile. When you think about the fact that there are over
60,000 bases that are there in the wheel, then it’s clear there are all kinds of
combinations, all kinds of complexities.

A number of years ago in one of the earlier Ibiza events I taught a course in trying to
give the drama of the motivation that lies underneath and to give that drama, the
color drama, a personality so that it could be seen in relationship to line. The
dilemma with doing it in that way was that again I was only dealing with generics.
You’re really in for an interesting process, and also a great deal of material that
you’re going to be able to download about an hour or so after this class, so that you
have access to material you need in order to begin to investigate this yourself.

The Keynotes

So, without further ado let’s get into the drama. This is a generalized configuration
so that you have a whole series or whole sequence of keynotes that are connected to
each other. Basically, what you’re looking at are simply resonant values. In other
words, the relationship between the keynotes, for example, the 1 st line where of
course here you see the introspection of the investigator and the themes that you
see underneath that are brought about through color. That is, through the 1 st color
and the 1st color motivation of fear and its related terminologies.

This is the way that it was taught originally. In other words, this is the way that I
introduced the relationship thematically. And again, this was simply to be able to
understand the value of a 1st color as a motivational theme. Most people get stuck
with the concept of fear or the trajectories of communalist or separatist without
really understanding that this is a motivation that ultimately leads to teaching and
ultimately leads to the need to teach, and be taught as part of that process.

So, this is the way the information was introduced. I’ll come back to this, but the
whole core of what we’re going to be looking at is something that is now available
and something where we have depth, and what I’m referring to are chains. When
I’m speaking about a chain, what I’m talking about is the structural movement of
information, of programming and the realization of programming; so, the movement
from base to tone and from tone to color and from color to line and from line to gate
and so forth and so on. There we are looking at specific chains.

Now, the thing to understand is that there are so many chains—in PHS and Rave
Psychology year two, first and second semesters, twenty-two weeks each just going
through the basic line/color/tone chains. That was not including the base chains
because it would have taken me a couple of years to actually do the full chain, in
that sense.

LECTURE ONE
The Drama of Profile

One of the things about the science of differentiation is that it’s just that. That is
what Human Design is. It is about differentiation. And differentiation is about
understanding that generics and generalizations can be of value analytically to any
kind of surface analysis. But the fact is that we are all very, very specific in the way
in which we are intended to operate in the way in which we are intended to
ultimately display our uniqueness.

The Real Profiles

So, here is the basic configuration. I’ll come back to that in a little while. But I want
to take you to this, because I want to take you to the meat of this. Over the next six
weeks we’re going to be going through quite a journey. We are going to look at, as
an overview, at all of the real profiles. I mean, the real profiles; not the surface
profile. You think about a surface profile. If you look here, for example, at the 4/1
and you can see the way the chart is aligned. You’ve got the personality on this side
in black, and in red, of course, is the design. So, you’re looking at a 4 th line
personality, you’re looking at a 1st line design, it gives a 4/1.

But the difference, of course, is that this is the theme that we’re used to—the
opportunistic investigator, the typical 4/1 generic theme. Now, the interesting thing,
and again I will get back to this in a moment and we’ll look a lot at this, is of course
the anomaly of what it is to have a transitional profile. The transitional profiles are
the 1/4, 2/5, 3/6, 4/1, 5/2 and the 6/3, these are transitional profiles.

If you want to see the way they stack up in your JAM Player just go to the free
access area and check out the global survey and look at the way in which profile
operates in the population and you’ll see very clearly that transitional profiles have
much less density of population, and they are bridging elements between what are
the formal profiles that are always on either side of them.
