1. Introduction .............................................................................................................................................. 1
1. Introduction
This document provides overall guidance and information for the users of WNS on how to use the New EITR
Portal. EITR Portal is now launched with new look User Interface and better User experience techniques.
EITR Portal is used across WNS irrespective of the Business Units. The new EITR Portal will have a new
experience to use and to raise/action requests with the faster navigation and advanced features and options.
There is also Help section made available for each module in EITR Portal, which will help users to get a quick
tip about the Module that the user has accessed.
i. Open a Chrome/Edge browser to access the application from the link to access EITR –
https://eitrequest.wns.com
ii. The Portal URL can also be found on WNS what’s-Up eSpaceEIT Request
iii. While user is out of office then user can login to EITR Portal using https://corpapps.wns.com or
https://wns.app.instasafe.io and search technology support.
iv. The User can login to EITR application using InstaSafe SAML.
v. Only permanent employees with an employee ID on HRSS system (PS/SF) has access to login the
application.
3. Getting Started
On successful login to the Portal user will be directed to the home page as below,
3.1.1.Home Page
Home Page lists all request forms and menu listing (on the left) to which the logged in user has access. When
logged in on a clean browser session for the day, request forms will get populated as the user scrolls down on
the page.
The application sections, and controls are built using newer technology to help user, browse the application
modules with comfort. Highlights of the controls are as below,
This link will redirect user to home page from any page of the application.
Allows user to Toggle between full screen view to normal size view of the
page by hiding or showing the left side Menu list.
Here user can search requests raised by user self and direct reports of
logged in user using Request ID
User Guide for the application can be launched using this icon.
Search as you type in – user can search by request ID, requestor, request
type, approval stratus etc.
On any form fields highlighted with (*) are mandatory to be filled in.
A request cannot be raised for WNS Employee and NON-WNS employee together.
Beneficiary list for a request (if applicable) can be added manually or can be uploaded using the
template provided. However, for a request more than 10 beneficiaries cannot be added.
Business reason need to be entered for each request which needs to valid and complete.
Tip: Only (A-Z), (0-9), (,.?:_&-) characters are allowed in input fields
A request ID is generated on submission of a request. In case a request has more than one
beneficiary and supervisor hierarchy for them is different then, multiple requests will be raised.
Each request will go through its predefined approval workflow.
On successful approval of a request the user is notified with a Service Desk Ticket number which
is executed by the respective EIT function.
Requestor details in each form is shown as below collapsible space which can be expanded to
view the requestor details
alphabetical list of forms on this screen. Added to it user has an option to search by typing few letters of the
service type user is looking for, basis which the drop-down list gets reduced and user easily finds desired
request.
Please Note: Search by request ID and Advance search is not applicable for I-Bot and IT Consumables
On the advanced search page, in addition one can search by request type, request status, employee ID, SDP
ticket number.
Below controls can be used for better experience on this screen to view the requests and their results,
Below is the classification of Special characters that are allowed in all the fields like Business Reason, Subject,

The same is displayed as Tip near Submit button to help understand the allowed special characters.
4.1.3.1. My Requests
‘My Request’ section will display all the Requests that the logged in user has raised in EITR. The user will be
able to filter out the raised Requests according to the date range and Request type.

There are Filter options, which will help user to filter out the requests as per the search criteria, Filters
being, date range and request type. ‘Search’ will fetch requests based on the search criteria entered and
‘Reset’ button will reset the entered values in the fields.
Below controls can be used for better experience on this screen to view the requests and their results,
User will be able to verify if any requests are pending for his/her approval and take action accordingly.The
requests that are raised by the users and are in progress/pending approval in your queue will appear in the
grid section as shown in the below picture.
User can view 5 rows on the page at a time by default. User can change this by selecting the number at the
bottom. User can as well select ALL rows for display.
To approve, one request user can select the button on row and to reject select . While rejecting
a request user need to enter reason for rejection on the ‘Comments’ box which is mandatory.
User can as well approve or reject multiple or all requests at a time by selecting the check box on the left of
each box and select either ‘Approve’ or ‘Reject’ box.
Details of a request can be viewed by selecting the respective Request ID on the row, as below:

User can raise a request to report an issue on user’s system (desktop/laptop), The UI for the Form will be
as per the Screenshot below.
UI is self-explanatory. User should ensure to enter issue Category, Subject, user Desk ID, contact
Mobile number/extension correctly. In addition, attach issue details screen shot if any, before
‘Submit’
4.1.5.Domain Account:
Navigation - Home Domain Account
The Domain Account Form is used by the user to raise a request for Domain Account. The UI for the Form as
below.
The Domain Account Form will have Requester Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e.
Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name

Once submitted the request will go through its designated approval workflow and a Service Desk ticket will be
raised creating the account.
WNS Employee: For WNS Employees requests, the user needs to select Request Type as New and request for
as WNS Employee. User to select the required Domain Name, add the list of employees for Domain Account
required can be added manually or by downloading the template and uploading the same.

The system will capture the employee details post entering the employee ID correctly.
Non WNS Employee: For Non WNS Employees requests, the user selects the Request Type as New and
Request for as Non WNS Employee and user needs to select the required Domain. Login Type and Valid up to
date will be auto populated and cannot be edited as shown below.
‘Notification Mail’ – Entry on this box should be valid and an email id which is monitored.
Service Account: In case of Service Accounts requests, the user needs to Select the Request Type as New and
Request for as Service Account, also user needs to select the required Domain and specify Account Name*,
Owner (Employee ID) * and Name and Designation will be auto populated. The user needs to provide the
Business Reason as well.
Temp ID: For Temp ID requests, user to select the Request type as New and Request for as Temp ID and the
user is required to enter the value for Domain Name and specify Temporary ID*. Valid up to date will be auto
populated. User needs to add the ‘TempID’.
WNS Employee: WNS Employees requests, the user needs to select the Request Type as Re-Enabling and
Request for as WNS Employees and is required to enter the Domain Name and then user can add the user
details by downloading the template and uploading the same and further specifying the login type i.e.
temporary or permanent. If selected Temporary, valid up to date will be auto populated and non-editable.
User needs to provide the Business Reason,.
Non WNS Employee: For Non WNS Employees requests, the user needs to select the Request Type as Re-
enabling and Request for as Non WNS Employee, select the required Domain Name. Valid up to date and Login
Type options will be auto populated.
Extension for Temp ID: For Extension for Temp ID requests, the user needs to select Request Type as Re-
enabling and Request for as Extension for Temp ID, select the required Domain and specify Temporary ID*,
Valid up to date shall be auto populated.
Further user would need to enter the shared Drive path for e.g. - \\wimnas1\itapplication to add the same
and raise the request.

The above screenshot shows the UI of Shared Resource Access Request Form which will have Requester
Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project
Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, the Shared Resource Access Request Form will have Request Details section in the center of
the screen and “Complete path of the Existing Shared Drive* field details at the bottom of the Screen along
with Submit and Reset Button as shown above.
On submission a request ID will be generated which can be seen on user’s ‘My Requests’ page. The request
will go through designated approval workflow and successful approval a Service Desk ticket will be created
and notified to the user.
4.1.7.Email Request:
Navigation – Home ->Email Request
The Email Request Form will allow a user to raise Request for creating Exchange emails by Ids
[email protected] on WNS domain or customer domain. The request can be raised for self and
team members up to 10 of same vertical.
The Email Request Form will have Request Details section in the center of the screen and followed by Add User
section with options to Upload Users and Download Template.
User need to select the options for ‘Request For’ and ‘Request type’ as per the email operation requirement. In
case request type selection is ‘External Email Sending rights’ the requestor needs to add domains
(@yahoo.com, @gmail.com, @microsoft.com) etc.
User needs to enter Exclusions depending on the requirements and as well go through the Note section
carefully. ‘Submit’ and ‘Reset’ are self-explanatory. User to ensure fill in mandatory columns else an error will
be received on selecting ‘Submit’.
Note a user of Enabling Unit can raise a request for ‘WNS Employee-EU’ or ‘Non-WNS Employee’ of same
vertical as the user.
Similarly, user of other verticals can raise request for WNS Employee Operations and ‘Non WNS Employee’ of
same vertical.
Adding Exclusions screens is visible only for requests for ‘WNS Employees- Operations’
The user can add exclusion of the email addresses required by selecting the check box and selecting the
domains from the drop down.

On submission any Email request on its submission number of requests are created depending on the
beneficiaries (List of users for whom request raised) and they will follow an approval workflow.
4.1.8.Instant Messaging
Navigation: EITRHomeInstant Messaging
Instant Messaging form is used to raise request to use Instant messaging application Skype on WNS or
Customer Network to WNS Employee and Non WNS Employee for their respective Domains i.e. WIND or
Shared Services. A request can be raised for self and team members.
Further, the user would need to provide complete Business Reason as and would need to add the user to
execute the request. These are situated at the bottom of the screen.
The Request is raised for WNS Employees for getting Instant Messaging on the Customer Network.
The user will also need to upload an Approval Email received from client to raise access for this
Request. The request can also be further bifurcated if the access is require Remotely- Yes or No,

The Request is raised for Non WNS Employees for getting Instant Messaging on the Customer Network.
The user will also need to upload an Approval Email received from client to raise access for this

4.1.9.Internet Services
Navigation: EITR HomeInternet Service
Internet Services Form to be used by users to raise request to get Internet or SFTP services by selecting the
same Form the dropdown. The request can be raised for self and team members who may be ‘WNS Employee’
or ‘NON WNS Employee.’
The user will need to enter the Process Name and Business reason and in addition, Employee ID is
required. The Name and Designation will be populated automatically, and user needs to specify if the
Request is Permanent* or Temporary* by selecting from the dropdown. For Temporary Requests user
will need to select the Valid up to date from Calendar or enter manually
The user will need to enter the Process Name, Business reason, domain Name and can get help
on the domain Employee ID is required. The Name and Designation will be populated automatically,
and user needs to specify if the Request is Permanent* or Temporary* by selecting from the
dropdown. For Temporary Requests user will need to select the Valid up to date from Calendar or
enter manually.

The user will need to enter the Process Name and Domain Name along with Business reason and
in addition, Employee ID is required. The Name and Designation need to be entered, and user
needs to specify if the Request is Permanent* or Temporary* by selecting from the dropdown.

The user will need to enter the Process Name and Business Reason. The “Access Mode” is by
default ‘Full Control’ and non-editable. The user need to enter user ID, Name, Designation
manually, select access type Permanent or Temporary. In case access type is Temporary user will
need to select a Valid up to date.

On Successful submission of the request, it will go through predefined approval workflow and user will
be notified on approval of the request with the Service Desk Ticket number.

In addition, the Website Access Form will have Request Details section in the center of the screen
and “Business Reason* field details at the bottom of the Screen along with Submit and Reset Button
as shown above.

In addition, the Generic Email Form will have Request Details section in the center of the screen and
“Business Reason” field details and Upload User Details section with “Upload Users” button and
“Download Template” button at the bottom of the Screen along with Submit and Reset Button as shown
above. The user will also have “add” or “remove” user option by clicking on the action in the Action
column.

new generic email id. User can also upload the user list requiring access by uploading the list of users
using the available template.

o Modify Access of Existing Generic Email ID
In this option, user needs to provide existing email ID to which additional users need Grant for access
or revoke their access.
Restricted IT Equipment Form, which will have Requester Details mentioned at the top of the screen.
The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name,
Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, the user will then be able to submit the request by clicking on submit button at the bottom or
can reset the entire data that is filled in the form by clicking on Reset button.
In the below screen there are additional fields highlighted for the user to enter when the Request for is
selected as WNS Employee
In the below screen there are fields for the user to enter when the Request for is selected as Non WNS
Employee
User will be able to raise requests on behalf of WNS Employee or Non WNS Employee by selecting
dropdown of ‘Request For.
The above screenshot shows the UI of SSL VPN Form with Requester Details on top.
At the center of the screen the user is required to enter all the details for raising the request and at the
bottom section contains Add User details for which user the request is raised for.
All the fields with (*) are mandatory to be filled in by the user to raise SSL VPN request
In SSL VPN Request for WNS Employee, the user needs to fill all the mandatory fields. Also would
need to download template and upload with user details and provide valid Business Reason.

The above screenshot shows the new UI of Policy Exception Form, which will have
Requester Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID,
Designation, Location, Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process
Name.
Below are the different Requests types that are available for the user to raise Policy Exceptions

In addition, the Request for Field will have two options for the user to select i.e. WNS
Employee or Non WNS Employee.
The bottom section will change as per the Request For field selected by the user. Also there
will be dropdown for the user to select in the Login Type field i.e. Temporary or Permanent
and in scenarios where user selects Temporary there will be a field displayed named Valid
up to where user would define the date.

Non-Expiring Password
The Non-Expiring Password Request Type is an Exception Requests raised for getting Exception on
the passwords that can expire to login to WNS Laptop/Desktop. To prevent the passwords from
expiring the user can raise Requests for Non-Expiring Password.
User would need to fill our all the mandatory fields with the Red asterisk..

Others
If there any other exceptions that user would need for their Business Requirements and if the request
type is not mentioned in the Request Type dropdown, then the user can select Others option from
the dropdown and mention the required details - .
User would need to fill our all the mandatory fields with the Red asterisk.
In addition, there will be a field for the user to add the User details i.e. User Name/Host Name and
user can upload an excel Template by entering user details and upload the file. However, user would
first need to download the template and fill out the same to upload.

Unrestricted Internet form is used to raise request for using unrestricted internet in Meeting/VC Rooms
for a certain period of time which needs to be specified by the user.
The user would need to ensure that this Request is adhered to the WNS InfoSec Policies and guidelines,
and the unrestricted internet privilege should not be violated.
The above screenshot shows the UI of Unrestricted Internet Form, which will have Requester Details
mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code,
Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, Unrestricted Internet Form will have Process Name field, Start Date and End Date in the
center. Also, “Business Reason” and “Add Information” fields will be available at the bottom of the
Screen along with Submit and Reset Button as shown above.
User would need to fill our all the mandatory fields highlighted with (*).
Asset Movement form is used to raise request for Moving WNS Assists from one desk to another and
would require permissions and Gate Pass for the same. The user would need to provide Assets Details
i.e. Asset Type, WNS Asset TAG No., Current Desk ID/Location, Asset Serial No. , Destination Desk,
Model Type and Make,

The above screenshot shows the UI of Asset Movement Form, which will have Requester Details
mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code,
Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
Access on Server form is used to raise request to get access on a certain Servers in the organization
that are not accessible for the users. These Servers then can be accessed by raising request Form
Access on Server Form on a Temporary or Permanent basis the requirement of the user. In case of
Temporary basis, the user will need to provide the validity period for the same Form the validity
dropdown field.
In Addition, the user will need to provide information on the Type of Access the user requires i.e.
“Remote Access” or Remote Access+ Admin” along with the Server Name.

The above screenshot shows the new UI of Access on Server Form, which will have Requester
Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location,
Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, the Access on Server Form will have Request Details section in the center of the screen
and “Employee ID Releasing Licenses” field and “Business Reason” field details at the bottom of
the Screen along with Submit and Reset Button at the bottom as shown above. In addition, there is
a check box, which needs to acknowledge by the user stating the request details are correct and the
user accepts the same by checking on “I Accept” check box. In addition, there is a disclaimer for the
user as shown in the above screenshot
Below are the fields available for the user to enter for Request Validity –

Company Property Request form is used to raise request for PSTN, Company Paid Connection –
Porting Request, Company Paid Connection – Porting Request, which is getting the connection for
Voice or Voice and Data sim connection for the WNS Employee. Further, the user would need to provide
complete Business Reason as and a declaration check box to be checked stating the user agrees on
the above. This are situated at the bottom of the screen.

The above screenshot shows the UI of Company Property Request Form, which will have Requester
Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project
Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, the Company Property Request Form will have “Business Reason” and self-declaration at
the bottom of the Screen along with Submit and Reset Button as shown above .
In this Request, the Cost of the PSTN will be auto populated at the bottom of the form

4.1.20. IT Consumables
Navigation: EITR Home IT Consumables
IT Consumables Portal is used to raise Requests when the user requires getting the IT Hardware equipment.
The user would need to request for the Item on its particular Project No. and Location from the dropdown list.
In addition, user would need to select the item description from the dropdown and add the no. of quantity
required.
There is another Tab named Master List, which will display all the Item Types and its description for the user to
understand the Hardware item available. The information is displayed in a tabular format along with headers
like Item Type, Description, Make, Basic Price, and Warranty.

i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process

In addition, the Item Master list will be displayed in the tabular format in the Master List Tab. The table will
have headers Item Type, Description, Make, Basic Price, and Warranty.
The above screenshot shows the UI of Conference Bridge Form, which will have Requester Details
mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location, Project Code,
Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
The user would need to fill the data for all mandatory fields which are in red asterisks. –
When any of the Health Help Users logs in to EIT Portal, this Conference Bridge Form will appear with
the name – HH Conference Bridge.
Below is the Screenshot of the Form from existing UI –
Data Restoration Request form is used to restore the Data for a particular Domain and to a specified
Path at a specified Date. The user will need to fill out these details to raise request for Data Restoration.
Further, the user would need to provide complete Business Reason as well.

The above screenshot shows the UI of New IP Phone Request Form, which will have Requester
Details mentioned at the top of the screen. The details i.e. Employee ID, Designation, Location,
Project Code, Employee Name, Client Name, Vertical and Process Name.
In addition, New IP Phone Request Form will have Request Details and Business Reason at
the Centre. Cost would be displayed below the business Reason and add user details field at
the bottom along with Submit and Reset Button.

The above screenshot shows the UI of Additional Storage Form, which will have Requester Details
