Project Abstract
Project Title: Smart IoT-Based Monitoring and Safety System for Electric Vehicles
Abstract: The growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) emphasizes the need for enhanced battery monitoring and
safety mechanisms. This project presents a comprehensive IoT-based solution for real-time monitoring and management
of an EV car's battery system. It integrates features such as real-time battery and temperature monitoring, hazardous gas
leak detection with automatic vehicle shutdown, and location tracking in emergency scenarios. An AI-driven web platform
further enhances the system by analyzing battery health trends, predicting potential failures, and sending automated
warning notifications with the vehicle's location to designated contacts. By combining real-time monitoring, predictive
analysis, and automated safety measures, this project significantly improves EV safety, reliability, and user awareness,
contributing to a smarter and safer transportation ecosystem.

Application Area:
• Automotive Industry
• Energy and Battery Research
• Emergency and Safety Systems

Impact on Society/Industry: The project improves EV safety and reliability, encouraging adoption of sustainable
transportation. Its predictive features enhance emergency response benefiting both society and the automotive industry.
Sustainable Development Goals: Industry, Innovation, Technology and Infrastructure, Responsible consumption and
production.

Technology Stack: Nodemcu ESP8266, 16x2 I2C LCD Display, Battery Module (TP4056), Temperature
Sensor(DS18B20), Gas Sensor(MQ135), Geo Sensor(neo6M), Relay Module, DC Gear Motor, Lithium Ion
