About us

We are an early-stage edtech start-up in the K-12 segment in the US, founded by a Stanford
MBA alum with a proven track record in entrepreneurship. We are a remote-first,
bootstrapped team of smart, driven, and humble individuals who want to redefine the online
learning experience. Our team size is less than 20, including talented individuals from
renowned institutions such as ISB, IIT, SRCC etc. Our parent organization is based out of
Hyderabad, with over 60+ network outlets and 2000+ employees.

The role

As our first tech hire, the engineering lead will lead tech for us and help us set up an
inhouse tech team. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes technology, thrives
on innovation, and has a genuine passion for creating impactful products.

● Help us launch our product by taking charge of architecture, design, API


integrations and development of our platform, utilizing tools and technologies like
Figma,Next.js,Firebase, Elastic Search, SQL and Supabase.
● Recruit, and lead a high performing engineering team, fostering a culture of
innovation and continuous learning.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest trends (eg, gamification, AI, automated learning
tools etc) and best practices in technology, to make us future ready.
● Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to track and measure the success of
technology initiatives.
● Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners, including vendors,
contractors, and consultants, to ensure the technology strategy is executed
effectively.
● Plan, build, and maintain the technical infrastructure at the highest grade of
security, robustness, and reliability.

What you need to be successful

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from


premier institutes (IIT, NIT, IIIT etc).
● 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on consumer-facing
applications in early stage B2C high growth startups (0-1 stage).
● Proficiency in modern web and mobile and backend technologies.
● Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in hiring, and
leading technical teams.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective
cross-functional teamwork.
● Experience working with product teams to help prioritize and bucket different
product requirements.
● A deep interest in UI/UX and understanding of design-focused development to help
engineers build the best looking products.
● Creative problem solver and forward thinker with a customer-centric mindset.
