Task 2
1. How important is it to protect your identity in this digital age?
In the digital age, it is critical to protect your digital identity. Personal information online can be
used by identity thieves to open fraudulent accounts, make unauthorized purchases, or even
commit crimes in your name. By watching out for phishing scams, protecting your information
and securing your accounts, you can stay cyber safe and help defend yourself against digital
identity theft.
Protecting your identity in the digital age is crucial because it safeguards your privacy, security,
and reputation. With the vast amount of personal data shared online, from social media profiles to
online banking, malicious actors can easily misuse information if it's not properly secured. For
instance, identity theft can lead to financial fraud, where someone might open credit cards or loans
in your name, damaging your credit score and finances. Additionally, your online actions, like
sharing personal views or photos can be taken out of context and affect your professional
reputation. A good example is how a seemingly innocent post could resurface years later and affect
someone's job prospects. Therefore, protecting your identity is essential to maintain both personal
and professional control in an increasingly digital world.
2. What factors do you think might influence your self-identity in the future?
SOCIETY:
FAMILY AND LOVED ONES: they are the first people we are exposed, raise you and teach you
various things, look to our parents, siblings for our identity formation,
MEDIA: Media has an immediate impact on our perceived reality. Consciously and
subconsciously, we receive messages through advertising, television shows, movies, games and
music that reinforces or conflicts with our beliefs about life and whether or not we should be
content with who we are.
I believe that our environment is a key factor in shaping our characteristics. For example, if I live
in a dynamic setting that fosters creativity and enhances critical thinking, I'll naturally be
influenced by these factors, becoming more active and open-minded. In addition, my relatives and
acquaintances can affect me, as we often pick up traits through interaction and communication.
When we were children, our parents' personalities shaped us, and as we grow, our traits will
continue to evolve, reflecting the people we interact with.
3. How do you display your identity in person?
To be honest, there's quite a contrast between how I come across in real life and on social media.
In - person, I'm very much an introvert – I love engaging in conversations, and I have a knack for
making people laugh. Whenever I hang out with my friends, they often say they feel recharged and
relaxed because of my stories. I tend to go for a casual look, usually wearing jeans and a t-shirt,
since it makes me feel both comfortable and energetic
4. How do you display your identity online?
However, my online presence is a lot more reserved. On platforms like Facebook or TikTok, I
keep things pretty simple. I’ve only posted a profile picture, I use a nickname instead of my real
name, and I occasionally share meaningful quotes that resonate with me. So, there’s a clear
difference between how I express myself online and how I am in person.
5. Do you have an online identity? Why (not)?
Absolutely, having an online identity is incredibly convenient. It allows you to access social
media, stay updated on news, and follow current trends. For example, platforms like Facebook and
Zalo provide instant updates on what’s happening both in the country and around the world.
Recently, when a heavy storm hit Northern and Central Vietnam, I was able to stay informed about
the situation through these apps. Moreover, having an online identity makes everyday tasks like
transactions much easier. You can buy groceries and other essentials with just your smartphone,
saving both travel time and money. This convenience has become a vital part of modern life.
6. Are you embarrassed by the photo on your ID or passport?
To be honest, I was a bit embarrassed by the photo on my ID at first. When I took it, I wasn’t
wearing any makeup, and of course, filters weren’t allowed for ID or passport photos, so every
little flaw on my face seemed visible. It made me feel self-conscious. However, over time, I’ve
gotten used to it and now I find it pretty normal. I realized that everyone’s ID photos are similar
when I saw my friend’s passport picture —it’s just a part of the process. I understand that people
might feel shocked or a bit ashamed initially, but eventually, it becomes no big deal
7. Do you think that your identity is strongly affected by your living environment?
Absolutely, my living environment has had a profound impact on shaping my personality.
Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to participate in outdoor activities like sports and
camping during the summer or holidays. This exposure helped me become dynamic, adventurous,
and eager to explore new things. Beyond that, my friends and acquaintances have also influenced
me. They are always there to listen and offer advice when I need it, which has made me more
empathetic and resilient in dealing with others. I’ve grown up surrounded by love and support
from my family and the people around me, and their influence has significantly shaped who I am
today.
8. What kind of things during your education affect the direction of your life?
Well, I would say challenges and opportunities for exploration influence me a lot. You know,
through failure I can realize my strengths and weaknesses, which help me improve myself. I
remember that when I was at high school, I used to be interested in physical and wanted to be a
doctor. You know, However, when I entered grade 11, physical become super difficult. Although I
had tried my best to learn it, but it did not work, and I got low mark consecutively. Honestly, I was
really frustrated. After that I accidentally joined to a workshop about English career at my school.
Thanks to the instructor, I found that I am also good at English and began be hooked on it. You
know, at that time, I decided to do something related to English and now I am a student at HCM
University of Education, majoring in English Teaching.
9. Which defining moment at university or school affected your identity?
Well. I would say it’s a bit of both. You know, each period of life makes a different contribution on
forming our identity. For example, when I was at high school, my characteristics like resilience,
openness is established. I became willing to listen to other viewpoints and stories and step on their
toes and I was also persistent with my choices than the previous times. When I went to university,
I had opportunities to meet new friends and collaborated with those who have various identities,
that strengthen my traits including resilience and openness. I became calmer and more thought
before making any decisions. I could say that both phases play crucial roles in forming my
identity.
10.How can your achievement lead to a new identity?
Well, I would say achievement is a result of a challenging periods so humans will form some novel
traits and habits. This is because if people try their best to achieve their goals that means they
spend lots of time and effort into their work, they may achieve what they want. Therefore, they
will learn something new through tough time. Students, for example, when they they do a
presentation and overcome difficulties like misunderstanding, having quarrels, this helps them
shape new identity like problem-solving skills and resilience. Therefore, experiencing challenges
may allow people form new identity.

12. what has a negative effect on your concentration when you are studying?
One major factor that affects my concentration is electronic devices, especially my smartphone.
Every time a notification pops up, I feel tempted to check it, and this can lead to distractions for
several minutes. Additionally, studying in an unorganized environment negatively impacts my
focus. For instance, if my desk is cluttered with papers and books, I find it harder to settle into
studying. A lack of regular breaks can also decrease my concentration, as my mind becomes
fatigued after too long without rest.
13. is it hard for you to focus in a noisy room?
Yes, focusing in a noisy room is extremely challenging for me. For instance, if I'm studying in a
coffee shop and there's loud music playing or people talking around me, I find it difficult to stay
on task. Another example is trying to work while family members are watching TV nearby. I
usually need silence or soft background music to concentrate, so when there's too much noise, I

The control of fire by early humans was a critical technology enabling the evolution of humans.
Fire provided a source of warmth and lighting, protection from predators (especially at night), a
way to create more advanced hunting tools, and a method for cooking food. These cultural
advances allowed human geographic dispersal, cultural innovations, and changes to diet and
behavior. Additionally, creating fire allowed human activity to continue into the dark and colder
hours of the evening.
2. Do you think there will ever be a time where fire isn’t used in society?
3. Why might fire be considered both a foe and a friend?
Fire is a friend when it is under our control. But the cruel nature of fire is like a foe.
Friend: use fire to cook food, keep warm in winter, save life from wild animals
Foe: damage thousands of homes, vast areas of forests, kill hundreds of people
3. what are the main causes of forest fires?
Natural causes like lightning, spontaneous combustion of dry vegetation, and volcanic activities.
Man-made causes like human carelessness, smoking near vegetation, and disposing the cigarette
into dry vegetation without putting out the burning butt.
Other human-led causes like land clearing, slash and burn

Public Awareness and Education: Educating the public by promoting responsible behavior such as
properly extinguishing campfires, avoiding the use of fireworks in dry areas, and disposing of
cigarettes responsibly.
Controlled Burns: Under expert supervision, controlled burns can reduce the likelihood of
wildfires. These planned fires help to prevent larger, more destructive fires.
Infrastructure and Access: Building and maintaining roads and trails for fire crews, as well as
establishing water sources and firebreaks, can improve firefighting efforts and limit the spread of
fires
5. How can forest fires impact the environment ?
Air Quality: release huge amounts of smoke and pollutants into the atmosphere cause serious
respiratory problems for people, especially those with asthma or other lung conditions.
Climate Change: release large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which is a major
greenhouse gas. This contributes to climate change, which in turn makes conditions drier and
hotter, leading to more fires
Soil and Water: damage the soil, making it more prone to erosion. This can lead to landslides and
water pollution as sediment washes into rivers and lakes.

- profound sense of connection when thousands of people share a common passion
- Attending such events offers a break from daily life. It’s a chance to unwind, let loose, and
immerse oneself in pure entertainment.
