New Manticore owners please read - Involves user manual and software

T New Manticore users.

The manual for detector on minelab.com doesn’t reflect changes done
to detector involving update offered since initial model release. Folks
tnsharpshoote receiving new Manticores- I can’t say which software version your new
r detector will possess.
Supporter I don’t think you get a hard copy user’s manual either.
Forum Supporter Seems the actual update is not accessible via minelab.com.

T Okay. I went back this morning and looked. Manual now reflects what
update added.
This update though cannot be accessed using minelab.com. Website.
tnsharpshoote It can be accessed doing google search minelab usa.

Yes, up until a couple days ago, Minelab’s website was inconsistent…

they have the manual accessible from a couple different spots, but
apparently they had forgotten to update all of the links. I lucked out
AirmetTango when I bought mine last week - I happened to access the manual from
Forum Supporter their metal detector page which correctly listed and linked to the

detectorprospector noticed the problem late last week - he
unfortunately tried to access the manual from Minelab’s Support/
Product Manual & Guides page (https://www.minelab.com/usa/
support/downloads/product-manuals-guides), and it still only listed
and linked to the original version 1 manual. He ranted a little about it
on his forum, and it must’ve gotten Minelab’s attention, ‘cuz it’s fixed
now!

Anyway, here is the direct link from Minelab if anyone wants to

download the updated, version 2.0 manual:

This is good info. So as l bought mine back in Oct of last year, there
have not been any software updates. Are you saying you can only get
 software updates from this link?

Correct, the Minelab website in TNSS’s post is the only location that I
know of where you can be sure you’re getting the official, most up-to-
date software version. And even though there definitely hasn’t been
any additional update since your purchase, it’s worth taking a quick
look on your machine to make sure it’s running the current one - while
October would be surprisingly late, it’s possible you received “old
stock” depending where you bought yours. If you have customizable
soft keys and the Stabilizer setting, you’re good to go as of today - but
you can also check under “General Settings” and “Software Version” on
your machine’s menu to see the various software and hardware
versions currently installed on your machine. Version 6.20.0+73 is the
current software as of today:

Yep we have the same settings except the UVC whatever that is.



T One gent posted comment in one of my videos on this matter. He said

his machine came with latest update. Headphones didn’t.
Check your headphones as well.

I've checked my headphones and they say they are up to date. I'll have
to see if there is a way to see what version l have on my machine.

