QA ASSIGNMENT - 2

Objective: Design and execute a comprehensive test plan for an e-commerce website,
covering both manual and automated testing approaches. For creating this document,
you have complete freedom to reference any e-commerce website or open-source
project of your choice.

1. Test Planning and Design


○ Create a detailed test plan covering functional, regression, and UI testing
scenarios for the e-commerce website in agile development process.
○ Develop a traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are covered by
test cases

2. Manual Testing
○ Describe the process for testing UI/UX to ensure proper functionality
and user experience. Assume a Figma file will be provided as a reference
for UI/UX testing.
○ Explain how to conduct exploratory testing to identify potential usability
issues or edge cases.
○ Outline the process of cross-browser and cross-device testing for
responsive design, and specify the tool you would use to perform this.

3. Automation Testing
○ Develop an automation framework using a tool of your choice
○ Create automated test scripts for regression testing of key
functionalities, such as user registration, product search, and checkout
process
○ Implement data-driven testing for scenarios like Login, Update Order
Status, Inventory management.

4. API Testing
○ Develop a systematic process for gathering accurate requirements from
developers
○ Create comprehensive documentation for the API testing and reporting
procedures
○ Thoroughly verify API responses, status codes, and error handling
mechanisms

5. Reporting and Documentation
○ Generate comprehensive test execution reports
○ Document test cases, automation scripts, and testing procedures
○ Provide recommendations for improving the overall quality of the
e-commerce website
