PART 2: SOCIAL INTERACTION (2 minutes)

Read the following Part 2 questions and the sample answers for topics 1 and 2. Then think about
your own answers for topics 3-10.

Answer the groups of questions:

1-Family
1. Can you tell me about your family?
 Well, I have a brother and a sister. I am the eldest, my brother is the youngest and my sister is
the second child.
 There are five members in my family: my grandfather, my parents, my younger brother and I.
2. Do you come from a large or small family?
 I come from a big family of six members. I have a younger brother and an elder sister. I also
have a lot of uncles and aunts.
3. Do you live with your parents?
 Yes, I do. At present, I live with my parents. We live in a small house together with my
grandparents.
4. Are you married?
 Yes, I am. I have been married for 2 years.
 No, I am not. I am single.
5. Do you have any children?
 No, I don’t. I would like to have two or three children if I can.
6. What is your mother like?
 It’s difficult to describe her in words, but the only thing I can say now is that she is very kind,
gentle and caring. She takes care of all the members in my family. She is the person I love most
in the family.
2- Food
1.What is your favorite food?
 Well, my favorite food is called “Pho ga”. It is a kind of soup cooked from noodles and chicken.
It is very tasty.
2.Are you good at cooking?

 Yes, I think so. I usually cook meals for my family, and they like them. I do the cooking almost
every day because I really like it.
3.How often do you eat out?
 Not very often. I prefer cooking a good meal and enjoying at home with my family.
4.Who do you usually eat out with?
 Well, I usually go to eat in a restaurant with my friends on some special days such as birthdays
or a party.

PARRT 3- FREE TALK ( 4 minutes)

You have 1 minute to prepare for each of the given topics, and then talk about the topic for
2 minutes.

ADVICE FOR SPEAKING EXAM

 - Listen carefully to the questions. If you don’t understand, ask the examiner to repeat or
explain the questions for you.
 - Don’t answer with only one word Yes or No. Try to give more information by giving
example or explanation.
 - Start your answers with words like Well, I think, I believe... to make it more natural.
