4. The time given at the head of this Paper is the time allowed for writing the answers.

6. Section A is compulsory-All questions in Section A must be answered.
7. You must attempt one question from each of the Sections B, C and D and one other question from any
Section of your choice.

of this fair mansion, master of my servants,

my lord’s : I give them with this ring, Which when you part from, lose, or give away, Let is presage the
ruin of your love,
And be my vantage to exclaim on you.

Read the following extract and answer the questions that follow.
Shylock : What judgement shall I dread, doing no wrong?
You have among you many a purchased slave,
Which-like your asses and your dogs and mules-
You use in abject and in slavish parts,
Because you bought them. Shall I say to you,
Let them be free! Marry them to your heirs!
Why sweat they under burdens? Let their beds
Be made as soft as yours and let their palates
