This book is a well-researched compendium that gives insight into critical

issues as well as emerging perspectives in broadcasting and promises to


interest the general public. It will offer exploratory and explanatory in-
depth analyses of critical issues, as well as providing solutions as they
concern broadcasting in Nigeria, especially in this era of digital dominance
in the broadcasting industry.

Tayo-Garbson Sheba Umbule is a principal lecturer at Federal Polytechnic


Nekede, Nigeria, and has authored several publications for reputable journals.
Her research focuses on broadcasting, multimedia and social media studies,
and she is currently completing her PhD at the University of Salford in
Manchester, UK. Sheba is a member of the Association of Communication
Scholars and Professionals ofNigeria (ACSPN).

Etumnu Emeka Williams (OND, BSc MSc) is currently a doctoral student
of mass communication at Imo State University, Nigeria. He was among
UNESCO’s top three research prize winners across the Non-Sahel West
African region in 2020, and his research focuses on journalism and media
studies, new media, broadcasting, advertising and development
communication. He has published research papers in reputable journals
both in Nigeria and abroad. He is also a reviewer for reputable international
journals. Etumnu is a member of the African Council for Communication
Education (ACCE) and the Association of Communication Scholars and
Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), as well as being the Imo State
Coordinator ofthe Society ofYoung Nigerian Writers (SYNW).
