I have itchy feet, so I always have a detailed plan for the next holiday trip in mind.
This time, I am going to wait for my children’s summer vacation so that I can take the whole family on a trip
together. I am a family person and I love to travel with my loved ones. And, you know, summer won’t be complete
without sun tan and beach snapshots. Therefore, my destination must be a seaside city and Vinh Hy bay is my ideal
place. I have heard about this place a long time ago, a friend of mine highly recommended this place after her trip
there. It is known for natural scenic beauty and delicious fresh seafood at an affordable price.
I was curious, but couldn’t find time to travel there due to my tight working schedule. But this summer we are
going to make it. It’s only a 4-hour ride from our city to the bay, so I am going to go by bike, as if I were going
backpacking. One reason luring us to this place is that it’s a pristine island, which means it won’t be crowded with
tourists and the food here won’t be overpriced. Unlike other beaches which offer a variety of water sports like
canoeing, scuba-diving, water-skiing and skydiving, there will not be many activities to do in Vinh Hy bay apart
from sun-bathing and eating seafood. But this is going be a family time, and to me, spending time together is
already enough.
In case my children get bored, so I am going to bring some family games like UNO and castle-building tools to
enjoy time on the beach together. I am in dire need of this vacation as I want to escape from a stressful workload
and pressure from city life for a while with my kids and my spouse. Also, I think it is a good idea to reward my
children with a trip after studying hard throughout the school year
Từ vựng:

Destination: a place that you want to travel to.

Pristine: picture perfect

Young people’s behaviour is often influenced by others in the same age group. Some argue that peer
pressure is important for personal growth, while other people feel that it has distinct disadvantages.
Discuss both views and state your opinion. Write between 250 and 300 words. (15 points)
Stress that peers have exerted on juveniles can be the main contributor to the changes in their demeanor. This
essay argues that the benefits are eclipsed by the drawbacks involved because such pressure, despite facilitating
behavioral and academic progress, can create detrimental impacts on adolescents’mental health.
The main advantage is that being influenced by those who belong to the same age group or social group could
play a crucial role in
reinforcing positive habits and attitudesin social and scholastic terms. Some may say that young people usually
take others, especially with whom they have close intimacy, as role models. Therefore, if peers can set a good
example for their counterparts, they will probably achieve improvement
in both academic and social aspects. For example, watching someone of the same age completing the Road to
Mount Olympia successfully promoted the desire to be more goal-oriented and fulfill one's own dream of such
intellectual accomplishment.
Nevertheless, I believe that the disadvantages of peer pressure are more significant because of mental issues
arising from this tendency. It is worth mentioning that the stress originating from comparison among children
would make them feel inferiorto others, which leads to the fear of expressing themselves as well as potential self-
distancing from family and friends. This can be an alarming issue as the worst consequence that may follow is
suicide. The dramatic increase in youth suicide in Japan can be a good illustration of this as it is recorded that in
2019, 70% of suicide was among men aged 20 - 44.
In conclusion, although peer pressure may be beneficial as an encouragement in promoting personal
development, paramount consideration should be taken into account towards the adverse influence, namely mental
problems.

In our ever-evolving digital age, social media has become a platform where individuals can express
themselves, entertain, and engage with audiences in unprecedented ways. However, with this newfound freedom
comes responsibility, and the recent controversy surrounding Ngoc Trinh's motorcycle stunt raises important
questions about the limits of self-expression and the potential impact on impressionable minds.
Ngoc Trinh, a well-known public figure with a substantial online following, recently posted a video in
which she performed daring stunts on a motorcycle, including riding with both legs up on the seat, letting go of
one hand, and even standing upright as the motorbike sped forward. This video ignited a strong backlash from
the online community, with many people criticizing her for engaging in potentially dangerous actions simply to
gain more views. As a public figure, her actions are often scrutinized, and it is essential to consider the validity
of these criticisms.
To a certain extent, I agree with the concerns raised by Ngoc Trinh's critics. It is undeniable that her
stunts were risky and could have resulted in accidents or injuries. Furthermore, as a role model for many young
people, her actions could be perceived as irresponsible, potentially encouraging them to engage in dangerous
behaviors in search of online fame. We live in an age where influencer culture is potent, and the actions of public
figures can wield significant influence over their audience.
However, it is crucial to remember that social media is also a space for personal expression and
creativity. Many content creators push boundaries, engaging in thrilling activities to entertain their audience.
While safety should always be a top priority, these daring stunts can be seen as a form of art and self-expression,
akin to extreme sports or performance art.
In conclusion, the controversy surrounding Ngoc Trinh's motorcycle stunts raises important questions
about the balance between freedom of expression and responsibility, particularly for public figures with a
significant following. While there is a valid concern about the potential negative influence on the younger
generation, it is essential to recognize that creative freedom also plays a role in shaping our digital landscape.
Public figures like Ngoc Trinh should be cautious and strike a balance between their artistry and the safety and
well-being of their audience. As we navigate the complex world of online content creation, it is crucial to
encourage responsibility without stifling creativity.

Part 1. Letter writing (10 points)
Dear Samantha,
I heard that you are having some problems communicating with other team members
at the company. I am writing to tell you that I completely understand what you are going
through and I hope I can help you with my advice.
I was in the exact position last year when I first started working at the company. My
communication styles were not compatible with my coworkers and most of the things I said
either got misunderstood or ignored. It was such an uncomfortable experience to me and I even
considered quitting the job.
However, I soon realised that the communication improved tremendously when I started
giving more specific examples while explaining my ideas and opinions. I also started using
concept checking questions to make sure that my message was successfully conveyed. I think
this method can also do wonders to you and I highly recommend that you give it a try.
I hope this helps and please keep me updated on the issue.
Best wishes, ...

Some people believe that reading stories from a book is better than watching TV or playing
computer games for children. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

đến trí tưởng tượng.

Conclusion: Paraphrase lại Thesis Statement và nêu lại quan điểm.
These days, a large amount of advertising is aimed at children and some people feel that it should
be banned. While advertising can have several negative impacts on children, I believe it should
not be completely banned.
On the one hand, commercials aimed at children can have a detrimental impact, particularly on
the relationship between parents and their children. Many children are easily manipulated to
want things they see in advertisements, and this may cause conflicts between parents and
children if parents deny their children of something they want. In addition, advertising targeted at
children can have negative effects on their health, as many fast food and junk food companies
these days direct their marketing strategies towards children, making their products appear to be
healthy and appealing. Unfortunately, most children do not understand the concept of advertising
and are easily persuaded to purchase these unhealthy foods, and as a consequence, can be at risk
of many serious health issues, such as obesity and diabetes.
On the other hand, I feel that there should not be a ban on advertising aimed at children because
advertising is one of the key aspects of a prosperous economy. If bans were to be placed on
commercials, many companies would suffer from a decrease in sales and profits, which would
eventually affect unemployment rates and the economy. For example, Coca Cola provides
thousands of employment opportunities in advertising throughout its branches across different
regions around the world. If advertising was banned, a large number of workers, such as
marketers, may become unemployed, and as a result, the government will have to provide
temporary financial support for those unemployed people.
In conclusion, although advertising aimed at children may have certain negative impacts
regarding family relationships and health, imposing a prohibition on it is unreasonable.
