2.3 PEA

2.3.1

I reviewed all project documents including initial drawings, project specifications, and client
requirements along with the scope of work. I analyzed each document to ensure a comprehensive
understanding of the project's objectives and parameters. I explored the initial drawings to grasp
the spatial layout and electrical requirements of the project. After that, I properly investigated the
project specifications, and I paid special attention to the technical particularities and the standards
to be followed. Furthermore, I properly examined the related functionalities and the extent of the
job to develop an electrical design aligned with the preferences and needs of our client. I compiled
and assembled to have a precise plan for the electrical drafting. I was highly specific taking into
account all possible inconsistencies throughout the review process. This included making revisions
or clarifications where necessary. Inside of all the outlined design went into the foundation of the
careful and precise way of electricity design that met both the project's techniques and the client's
assumptions.

2.3.2

I concluded the disciplinary drawing of power design, which was strictly governed by project
requirements and all authoritative laws application. I carefully designed the approved drawings
into detailed shop schedules incorporating all requisite electric components and details. All along
this procedure, I ensured regular communication with stakeholders that aimed at resolving any
unsettled inquiry or opinion quickly. I created exhaustive graphs showing the penalization and the
interconnection of the electrical systems within the project. I kept a daily log of every single
activity and listed them in such a manner that I tracked the variants, deviations, and original plan
improvements. By the time, I finished the shop drawings, I designed and lab-tested the electrical
systems so that verified the system functionality and safety met standards. Through my
delicateness, in realizing the electrical design and extensive testing under the safe and efficient
conditions the project experienced a smooth flow in completion.

2.3.3
I designed the layout of drawings, electric plans, and detailed drawings in which I did clear and
accurate outlines of the arrangement of electrical devices. I drew such schematic diagrams that
nothing confused and all were precise in showing positions, equipment, and panel layouts. Taking
advice from experts, into account, I perfectly featured customer orders in the design, providing
100% correspondence with the project goal. I worked out the voltage drop through math and load
calculations, shown by my thorough observation of power demand and distribution. Designing
intrinsic DB schedule and providing precise choice of cables, current protection relays, and various
types of metering instruments, I fulfilled project specifications and integrated enforcement aspects
of regulatory standards. The entire journey involved the use of safety gears and equipment in which
measures were implemented to ensure that the safety of the crew and the machine remained
paramount at all times. My total approach in conducting the electrical design and complying with
the requirements goes a long way to affect a successful project completion.

2.3.4

I compiled my electrical drawings with the utmost attention to detail, ensuring overall compliance
and accuracy to reflect the project's technical requirements. At the end of the work, they were
shown to the consultant. Then after that, I quickly corrected all of the feedback or revision
instructions. When the Approval of the drawings done by the consultant was given, I compiled all
the related documentation and submitted them to the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC)
Authority for final approval maintaining the submission guidelines precisely followed. After the
approval from my superiors, I used the drawing as a tool for the electrical diagram to measure the
needed quantity of materials. I included the material costs, studying the numbers, like for units,
market prices, and including tax and fees. Supporting either the electrical system or the material
system side, I made sure that accurate estimates were supplied including all of the required parts
and possible deviations. The number of guesstimates and material cost estimations I handled
diligently made procedures of planning and purchases easy, contributing to the success of the
project.
2.3.5

All the while by working in close collaboration with the engineer of the site, I was ensuring that
the works in terms of electrical had been perfectly processed by the approved circuit drawings. I
articulated explicitly to dispense to ensure the whole process was figured out correctly. Although
I did not perform any electrical work myself, I checked that the electrical process correctly
followed the drawings, making sure that we followed our specifications and quality standards.
When the activities had been made public, I fixed onto the model of as-built thermal electrical
drawings that captured the modifications and deviations as captured from the engineering designs.
Furthermore, I ran drastically extensive testing practices on the electric system and made sure the
system was functioning, and also compliant with the specified rules and regulations. As I felt I
needed to provide an outstanding document, I processed all data and documentation, endeavored
to craft a report of strategies for testing and commissioning my system, and detailed step-by-step
procedures performed and outcomes observed. Finally, I oversaw the transfer process of the
responsibility to the client, carrying out an initial startup as well as hand-holding the client until
he becomes independent in the operation and maintenance. My dedication to accuracy and
attention to detail distinguishes me as a loyal employee. This had a positive impact on the speed
and accuracy of the project during all of its phases.

2.4 Problem and Solution

2.4.1

I found that only voltage drops were considered in the initial tender drawings referring to the
separate cables but it was not a sum of drop in the whole cable. I highlighted this significant design
fault in a meeting with my superiors, sharing my concerns that failure could lead to a waste of
electrical energy and danger to the employees. A foreseeable reason according to the source might
had been neglect or underinformed technicalities. Voltage imbalance, reduced output of electrical
devices and safety risks would be the end results of this deficiency. In the end, I turned to my
supervisor for advice and we together came up with a solution to determine the overall distribution
of voltage throughout the whole system by considering all components the low-voltage panel, final
circuits, and every single part in between. As per the supervisor and helped to confirm already
made decisions. Ultimately, I did a consultation with my manager about your situation, suggested
the problem, and provided the solutions. As a team, I determined that the cautious restatement of
the sum of the total voltage drops to check the available standards and improve stability was the
right choice. Bringing this into action, I looked it over again for the series of accumulative voltage
drops and guaranteed that the project's electrical system worked correctly and safely.

2.4.2

The only problem I met was that I found out that the main capacitor bank, 300KVar actually which
was overrated (according to tender drawings), needed to be moved to the LV room because of the
requirements. Upon deliberating this with our other team members, I concluded that housing the
Capacitor Park within the LV room could prove problematic and might interrupt the LV room’s
function. The reason for this problem appeared in a contradictory assumption about the initial
project plan and compliance rules with regulations. To cope with this, I engaged my supervisor by
describing the predicament and asking for his advice on alternatives. My managerial perspective
had been enriched by the concept of supervision in this case. To calculate the ideal capacitor bank
rating and placement, I was inspired to carry out an inquest. After examining the situation, I
proposed a rating reduction to the Capacitor bank of 80KVar together with relocating the electrical
element to an available room nearby. Discussing the situation with my manager, I gave the problem
and had some ideas for the issue. Thus, together I made sure of the technicality and got the
authorities' approval; this ensured maintaining regulations but not the project efficiency as well.

2.5 Creative Work

I ensured smooth ADDC handing over and compliance with regulations, it's essential to have all
equipment and loads required for the ELV system documented and incorporated into the final
electrical circuit drawings. I mitigated the risk of encountering issues during authority inspections
and ensured that the project progressed smoothly without delays or setbacks. I prioritized thorough
documentation, adherence to regulations, and proactive communication with authorities, so I
streamlined the ADDC handing-over process and ensured the successful execution of the project
without any complications.

2.6 Project Management

Overall to select and appraise competency in each of the consignment categories within our team
I had been reviewing individual skillsets and experiences. I applied the collective effort to get
relevant information on their strengths and domain expertise. The performance of a group deeply
depends on individual capabilities. Hence, regular evaluation and comparison with the specific
categories of assignments made the installation process efficient, as each team member was given
only those works where they were capable of performing optimally. Upon profiling skill sets, I
then rounded off my team with members whose expertise was spread out such as the distribution,
industrial, and commercial installation categories. I was active in building bridgework and
promoting teamwork hence creating a smooth coordination and knowledge sharing among
members of the team. Tapping into the synergies of assimilation of collective skills of the team,
was a way of improving project performances and the likelihood of completion of the project a
success. The progress of the project throughout allowed me to serve the team as a means of
resource allocation to premise their success in an environment that enabled the team to have a
collective machine optimally.

2.7 Code

Throughout the design and execution stages, I followed company regulations and authority
requirements diligently.
