Acknowledgment

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my

lecture Menisha Silva, for their guidance and support
throughout this assignment. I also appreciate the
resources provided by Google that facilitated my
research on computer hardware components.

Additionally, I want to thank my parents for their

unwavering support and encouragement. Their belief in
my abilities and their assistance in my studies have been
instrumental in my academic journey. I am truly grateful

Introduction
The physical parts of a computer system that cooperate
to carry out different functions are referred to as
computer hardware. These parts work together with
software to process input and generate information or
actions as output. Input devices, output devices, storage
devices, and processing units are the several categories
into which hardware components fall.

For instance, a personal computer's hard disk, CPU,

keyboard, and display are all physical parts. Every
component has a distinct function that enables the user to
communicate with the computer and carry out tasks.

The Evolution of Computer Hardware
The development of computer hardware has been
characterized by improvements in power consumption,
speed, efficiency, and compactness. Early computers,
like the ENIAC (1945), were enormous and occupied
entire rooms. They used vacuum tubes. Transistors
eventually took their place, enabling computers to get
quicker,smaller,

Microprocessors, which combined all of the parts of a

central processing unit (CPU) onto a single chip, were
developed as a result of the advent of integrated circuits
(ICs) in the 1960s. Personal computers were made
possible by the microprocessor revolution in the 1970s.
Performance and storage were further transformed in the
1990s and 2000s with the advent of Solid-State Drives
(SSDs) and multi-core processors.

And more dependable.
