 If the transportation relevance indicator is set, the route can be used for
creating shipments. If you use routes in delivery documents for which
transportation relevance is not maintained, these deliveries cannot be
planned in shipments.

Double click on the Route stages (STEP 3)


 Maintain Loading and Discharge point
 Tick if relevant for shipment costing
 If you do not specify a leg indicator in the shipment type, or if it was not
assigned (leg indicator = initial), the shipment is treated as a direct shipment
(leg indicator = direct leg).

1. Define transportation zone
You can define transportation zones according to country/region and depending on
your company's needs. Transportation zones represent delivery recipient (ship-to
party) regions or delivery shipper (supplier) regions.

point to your shipping point. Assign departure zone to shipping point if
necessary

Now create order and check the Route.
Route Determination with Weight Group (Delivery)
This will help to re-determine the Routes in delivery based on weight
Configuration for route determination with weight group:-
i. Define weight group-
Delete all the existing weight groups and save it. Then go to new entries and
maintain the
weight groups
New entry.

4. Define New Route Determination By Delivery Type


Select LF
A-New route determination without check
B- New route determination with check

5. Define Allowed Actual Route By Proposed Route


 Proposed route is sales order route and actual route is delivery route.

Shipment Document
SPRO → LE → Transportation → Shipments → Maintain Transportation Relevance ->
Maintain for Delivery types ; For delivery item types; For routes
Define Shipment Types
The standard shipment type for individual shipment with single mode of transport is
0001.
In this step, you define the shipment types which contain all the essential control
features for the shipment document.
Shipment Cost
SPRO → LE → Transportation → Shipment Costs ->Basic functions - > Define Date
Rules
A rule for date determination in shipment costing specifies an access sequence of
certain points in time within a shipment (e.g. planning complete, processing, start of
leg, etc.). These are applied during pricing and settlement of shipment costs.

Define and Assign Traffic Zones


Shipment Costs → Basic Function → Define and Assign Traffic Zones
This will help to maintain shipment cost condition record its consists of group of
postal
code

Document -> Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories

Double click on the Item category


 Define pricing date relevant to the date rule as highlighted in yellow above
 Item Determination Group- Item determination group is one of the parameter
to determine
shipment cost pricing procedure
 Account assignment category for Transportation is “K”
 Generate PO-This field controls whether to generate PO automatically or not
while creating
shipment cost document, if yes then maintain “B” save

Define shipment cost type as defined in VI01


 All valuation type should be 3200 – Services
 Assign shipment cost types to item categories
Shipment Cost Relevance and Default for Shipment Cost Type
Go to your shipment type & assign shipment cost type & save Double click on
Define Shipment cost relevance for shipment type Go to your shipment type and
tick on leg save.
