Art Imagination and Expression
• Art imagination is the ability that you have to
form pictures or ideas in your mind of things
that are new and exciting, or things that you have
not experienced
• art expression is the communication of feelings
from artist to viewer
• Unexpressed imagination is not art
• Expression of art can either be positive or
negative

• Derived from the Latin term ars, which means
skill, talent or ability
• The expression or application of human
creative skill and imagination, typically in a
visual form such as painting or sculpture,
producing works to be appreciated primarily
for their beauty or emotional power.

Creative and Art Appreciation
• Creativity is a metacognitive skill
• Creativity is the skill and talent to use our imagination
to create and solve.
• A creative artist is probably a better artist
• Art is an expression of feelings and emotions
• Craft is a form of work with the use of available
