 Objective: Convert collected data into
a table and choose appropriate charts
or graphs for display.
 Materials Needed: Computers with
spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft
Excel, Google Sheets), collected data
forms.
 Instructions:
 Data Entry: Input the collected
data into a spreadsheet.
 Table Organization: Decide on
column and row headings. Discuss
with your partner how to format
the table (e.g., bold headings, fill
colors).
 Chart Selection: Choose which
charts or graphs best display your
data (e.g., bar graphs, pie charts).
Discuss the reasons for your
choices.
 Spreadsheet Formatting: Apply
your formatting plan and create the
charts.
 Fun Activity: Create a "Data Art"
competition where students design
the most visually appealing and
informative charts or graphs.
 Fun Fact: Did you know? The pie
chart was invented by the Scottish
