How to customize this template

Thank you very much for purchasing this template.

This project comes in 2 versions: “standard“ and “plugin“. For the plugin version you need Trapcode
Form. If you do not have this plugin, kindly open the standard project file called „Earth Star Logo.aep“

To customize this project, simply follow the steps explained in this short tutorial. (Advanced users can
change even more than described in this document.)
If you like the audio you did hear in the preview you can buy it from my good friend Beatbuddy at
audiojungle. Visit his portfolio here:
http://audiojungle.net/user/beatbuddy/portfolio

The tutorial starts on the next page

Please note: Due to updates of this template, the screenshots may vary from what you see on your
screen. Don't be confused by that, just go on as described.
Insert your Logo/Image

First of all, you need to import your

footage. This can be your Logo or any
other image you want to use with this
template. (For the sake of this tutorial, I
will just write “Logo“ from now on)
Go to “File → Import → File...“

A new window will open where you can

choose your Logo.

After you click on “open“, your picture will

appear in the project window in After
Effects.

1. In the project window, open the folder

“edit this“ by clicking on it. Double-click on
the composition “Put Logo in here“ in the
project window to open it in the timeline.)

2. Click and drag your earlier imported

footage into the timeline.

3. shut off the eye-switch of the Logo

Placeholder, to make it invisible. You can
also highlight it and press delete.
You can change the position of your Logo by simply dragging it into place in the preview window.
By default it's in the center of the screen.
To change the size, highlight your picture in the timeline and press the “S“-Button on your keyboard.
This will reveal the scale-parameters, with which you can change the scale of your Logo. (Simply
hold-click on the value and drag the mouse left or right)

Customize the project

After you have inserted your image, you can now customize the project to your desire.

1. In the project window, double click on the composition called “Output“ or simply click on the tab
in the timeline.

2. Highlight the top layer named „“Controls“ (left Click)

3. In the effects controls window, you can find 4 parameters (Explanation is on the next page):
(if you can't find the Effect Controls Window, go to Window → Effect Controls)

• Fade Out: Check this if you want the animation to fade out to black.

• White Logo: Check this if you want your Logo to not show the original colors at the end of the
animation, but plain white.

• Flare: Check this if you want a flare to appear when your logo reveals.

• Shooting Star: Check this if you want to have a shooting star in the background before the
stars transform to your Logo
Render the project

After you've customized the project to your needs, it's time to export the video.
Before that, you can choose between a faster and a slower animation.
Go to the Output-Comp and activate the eye-switch on the version you like to use.

(timing 1 is the faster version)

The faster version is synced to Beatbuddys sound available at audiojungle. You can import his sound
just like you did with your logo and drag it into the output composition.
If you want to use the slower version with his sound, import the mp3 file in the composition called
“Import Beatbuddy sound here for longer version“. You find this composition in the folder “Sound“.

Now let's render out the project:

Make sure you have the “Output“-Tab highlighted in the timeline.

Click on “Composition → Add to Render

Queue“

The render queue will open in the timeline

window.
Change the export settings to your needs.

Now you're done. Thanks again for your purchase.
