OBJECTIVES:

1. To get knowledge regarding primary health centre situated in Kabri village Panipat.

2. To get familiar with patients and their situation.

3. To know about the services which are provided to the people at that center.

INTRODUCTION:-
M.Sc. first year students of community health nursing specially visited to primary health
centre of the Kabri village on 10-03-2018 as per the curriculum requirement. Primary health
centre workers welcomed us and explained us about and gives required information. Kabri
village situated in Panipat and there is one primary health centre. Primary health centre is the
first contact point between the community and the medical officer. Primary health centre is a
place in a village of 1,60,000 to 1,80,000 population in which various services are provided to
the people like MCH services (anti natal services, intra natal services, post natal services), child
health services(immunization),medical as well as surgical facilities also provide to the people.

DEFINITION
Primary health center is a basic health limit to provide as close to the people as possible.
It is an integrated and preventive health care to the rural population with emphasis on the
prevention of diseases and promotion of health care.

SERVICES PROVIDES AT THAT CENTER:

1. 24 hour emergency services are provided to the person.


2. MCH (Maternal and child health Services) is provided to the person.
3. On Wednesday the immunization day is there, at that day immunization done.
4. Give treatment to the patient who are suffering from T.B and other disease
5. Provide first aid care to the people.
6. 24 hours referral service is provided to the people.
7. Provide special attention to the under 5 children.

CONCLUSION:-
From the visit we conclude that primary health centre provide various services to the children,
pregnant mothers and vulnerable groups like preventive, promotive, curative health services for
promotion and maintains health status of people.
