Overview
The Sizer – DQT integration enhancement is a continuous effort in improving the process with automations, system
enhancements for higher user experience. With this enhancement, the distributors can auto create quotes with the “Generate
Salesforce Quote” option enabled in sizer. Kindly refer below E2E process overview which includes Deal Registration Process,
How BOMs are created followed by auto quote creation using Sizer.
Nutanix partners register deals via Vartopia application that is configured with Nutanix’s instance of Salesforce.com. Upon
approval, the deal is assigned to the Nutanix Sales Rep who converts the deal into an opportunity. When the deal is converted
into an opportunity the information related to the “Reseller” and “Distributor” are also captured. Upon logging in to the DQT the
distributor will be able to see the opportunity and create the quotes.
Note: Reseller can create scenario in sizer and push that for quote creation. However, since reseller doesn’t have access to
distributor quoting tool, they can share the email notification they receive upon quote generation with the distributor for further
action.
1. To access the Deal Registration module login to https://my.nutanix.com launch Deal registration. Upon login, the deal
registration system will open in a tab of the browser
2. Click on Submit a New Registration. There are two tabs on the page “Opportunity” & “Customer”
You can either enter the Customer Info and or click “Search” (fig.1) which will display a list (fig.2) of all companies you
have done a previous registration for.
4. Nutanix partner help queue team member reviews registration & routes to internal sales team
a) Check for existing deal reg for the end user by a different partner
5. Nutanix sales team reviews the registration “Approves”/” Deny” based on the different circumstances
6. Once the Deal registration is “Approved”, it is also linked to the opportunity & end user account
In Salesforce, BoM and Quote are dependent on an opportunity, so to upload a BoM or to generate a Salesforce Quote, Sizer
needs to know which opportunity to use. A user can provide opportunity information on the scenario creation page. Any of the
following IDs/numbers is acceptable:
Opportunity & Deal registration approval ID can be found from DQT opportunity
4. On the left panel/sidebar of Scenario detail page, there are actions (generate BoM, Generate Budgetary Quote, Push
BoM to Sales force, Generate Salesforce Quote) can be found
5. Clicking on “Push BoM to Salesforce” will launch a modal/pop-up. User can confirm the opportunity and push the
BoM to Salesforce. Successful upload will close the modal and display a message on the page
8. Email notifications, containing link to opportunity in case of BoM upload and link to quote in case of Quote, will be sent
to Users (Distributor, Opportunity Owner, Primary SE)
a) Once the user clicks on the auto email received confirming the quote is created, it takes the user directly to the quote
page. If the user wants to search the quote in DQT using the search options, it can be found following the below steps
e) Once the quote is Approved, the quote documents can be previewed and generated only up to 3 times.
