Primary Mid-Year Academic Report

February 2022

Dear Parents,
This report gives a summary of your child’s progress so far this year. Children are unique and their
academic progress and abilities are also unique. Children who have not yet achieved complete
mastery in some areas may still have made good progress. Grades on this report are created using a
range of assessment activities in line with the Yew Chung curriculum. Grades are never solely based
on formal testing. Approaches to Learning levels are also noted as these are important in any
student’s academic progress. We regard the education of your child to be a partnership between
home and school. Please take time to discuss this report with your child in an atmosphere of
understanding, encouragement, support and praise. With positive reinforcement from you, your child
will be empowered to take the appropriate action to further their learning. Parents are always
welcome to make an appointment to discuss their child’s progress.

Zeyue has achieved an overall grade of BD in Mathematics. She has a strong understanding of calculations using the
four main operations but needs support when completing reasoning questions. It is important that she approaches word
questions carefully, using RUCSAC to support her. Zeyue needs to review key mathematical vocabulary in both English
and Chinese to support her reasoning skills.

vocabulary on display to support her during lessons.

Zeyue develop her reading skills further.

習了14篇課文,147個詞語,並完成了多篇與主題相關的寫作練習和讀書筆記,同時進行了各種形式的口頭演講。學習
中,她可以認真地完成各項作業以及學習任務,認真準備每週的聽寫和詞王爭霸賽。課堂上,對於感興趣或有把握的話

Zeyue has shown that she understands our five Dimensions of Learning. She is generally focused on completing tasks,
yet sometimes will require a little reminder. She can complete tasks independently and can also cooperate with peers.
We hope that as her confidence grows, she will keep considering what needs to be done to finish tasks successfully,
independently using resources to support her.
