THE USE OF INTERNET IN OUR SOCIETY


The internet is an international network who came to facilitate the life of the
human being. It was created in the 1960s in the United States, during the
Cold War, to facilitate communication between military bases. Afterwards,
it was improved and began to be used for other purposes.
It’s very important because we can do many things like to send a message to
someone who is far from us, to call, to access of social network, make a
search to improve our knowledge, to teach people and share information,
make a business, to make a sell of products and services around the world.
This network can allow the communication and share of resources and data
with people wherever are them. It’s changed the way we work, go shopping,
communicate with our friends, and look for a new relationship, read, write,
inform, relation shipment with our children and specially its has affected the
negative form the sense and possibility of privacy.
The Internet also allows companies and organizations to communicate and
share information quickly and efficiently which increases the productivity
and competitiveness. Furthermore, this network enables connections
between people and cultures from around the world, promoting globalization
and access to information.
It's has helped countries to communicate, share their products to each other’s
and increase their economy.
Advantages and Disadvantages

The internet has a big impact in the society because it changed most of the
things and it also brought positives and negatives consequences.
The advantages of Internet are:
• Facility in communication.
• Improvement in quality of life and increase of the productivity
• Allows the fast access of information
• Helps to increase and improve the economy in the countries
• Becomes HomeWorks easier
• Makes to grow the expectative of life
• Increases the opportunities to work
• Helps companies to share their business in social media
• Facilitates the apprenticeship

The disadvantages of Internet are:


• Exposure to inappropriate content by children
• Internet addiction disorder
• Virtual crimes (hackers can create a virus who can invade in your
personal computer, and they can have access of all information about
you)
• Digital dependence
• Inadequate contents
• Fake information
• The excessive use of internet can lead to dehumanization and cause
social isolation
• Depression (professionals claim that there is a direct relationship
between the increase in time spent in social networks and the
increase in depression among young people. This usually happens
due to the large “virtual showcase” presented on the networks, where
personalities with their above average lifestyle and perfect bodies are
displayed).

Internet is very important in the world it came to facilitate our lives


and without it we cannot communicate with others, share
information, improve the knowledge. It’s important to know that
internet can influence us the negative or positive form, so we need to
use it with moderation and keep on talking with each other’s, not
using the internet, but to talk, interact face to face because if we
don’t do it, we will be only focused on the internet and the society
could be lost.
