 ABSTRACT

Website Design and learning HTML were the main objective of this Internship.Some of them are only
used for the frontend and backend design of the software. For example, HTML3, HTML4, HTML5,
CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript etc. There are also some other programming languages that are used to
develop the dynamic functions of the software or application. For example- PHP, Java etc. Nowadays
there are also some frameworks that use vastly. Frameworks are basically structured programming by
using Model, View and Controller. It is also called as MVC. If we develop web based application that
is very useful for us because we can access it from anywhere in the world. It is very helpful for our daily
life. That is why I choose subject of my report as “WEB DESIGN”. Training in Universal Informatics
added huge experiences in my upcoming career. Solving real life problems was another key issue. This
report takes us through all the details of WEBSITE DESIGN knowledge and experience gathered during
this internship period.

Development Introduction

Web development, or web programming, is the process of creating dynamic web applications,
such as social networking sites like Facebook or e-commerce platforms like Amazon. These
applications are designed to interact with users and deliver content in real time, providing a more
engaging and interactive experience compared to static websites. Whether you're pursuing a
career in web development or simply want to learn coding, understanding the fundamentals of
web development is a valuable skill. This field offers a wide range of opportunities to create
innovative and impactful web applications that can serve a variety of purposes, from connecting
people to facilitating online transactions. By learning web development, you'll gain the ability to
build and customize websites, enhance user experiences, and contribute to the ever-evolving
digital landscape.

 CONCEPTS AND TECHNOLOGIES FOCUSED DURING TRANING

While developing a project, it's essential to consider the specific requirements and allocate sufficient
resources, including personnel. It's common practice to combine various programming languages,
such as C++, C, HTML, JavaScript, and more, to create robust and dynamic web applications. The web
server plays a crucial role in integrating the interpreted and executed HTML code with the generated web
page, which can encompass various types of data, including images. The training I received at
Universal Informatics encompassed a comprehensive curriculum that likely covered these essential aspects
of web development.

HTML:

HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language. It is used to design web pages using mark-up
language. HTML is the combination of Hypertext and Mark-up language. Hypertext defines the link
between the web pages. Mark- up language is used to define the text document within tag which defines
the structure of web pages. HTML5 is the fifth and current version of HTML. It has improved the mark-
up available for documents and has introduced application programming interfaces (API) and Document
Object Model (DOM).

CSS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a versatile language designed to streamline the process of styling web
pages. By separating styles from the HTML content, CSS empowers developers to create visually
appealing and maintainable websites. This separation enhances efficiency and facilitates updates to both
content and design independently. There are three primary types of CSS: inline, internal, and external
stylesheets, each offering distinct advantages and use cases.

JavaScript
JavaScript, a versatile and lightweight scripting language, is renowned for its role in web
development. Its cross-platform compatibility and interpreted nature make it a popular choice for
creating dynamic web pages. Beyond the browser environment, JavaScript has found applications in
various non-browser contexts as well. Its versatility extends to both client-side and server-side
development, enabling developers to create interactive and responsive web applications.

Features of JavaScript
• According to a recent survey conducted by Stack Overflow, JavaScript is the most popular language
on earth. With advances in browser technology and JavaScript having moved into the server with
Node.js and other frameworks, JavaScript is capable of so much more.
• Functions in JS are objects. They may have properties and methods just like another object.

They can be passed as arguments in other functions.

• Can handle date and time.

• Performs Form Validation although the forms are created using HTML.

• No compiler needed.

The success of Sublime Text can be attributed to its extensive array of keyboard shortcuts, ingeniously
crafted by a dedicated one-person development team. These shortcuts empower users to perform
simultaneous editing across multiple selected areas, streamlining the editing process. Additionally, the
program's rapid navigation capabilities allow users to swiftly locate files, symbols, and specific lines of

code. Given that developers often spend significant amounts of time working within their code editor,
the time saved through these efficient shortcuts can significantly enhance productivity over the long run.

Work environment

The world of web development revolves around two key players: front-end and back-end developers.
Each plays a vital role in crafting the user experience.

Front-end developers are the artists of the web. They focus on the client-side, meticulously crafting
the visual elements users interact with directly. This includes web page design, graphics, layout, and
ensuring smooth user navigation. Essentially, they build the user interface, making the website
visually appealing and user-friendly.

On the other hand, back-end developers operate behind the scenes, forming the backbone of the website.
They specialize in server-side development, interacting with databases and servers to power the
website's functionality. Languages like PHP, Ruby, ASP.Net, Java, and Perl are their tools of choice.
Think of them as the architects who ensure everything runs smoothly under the hood, allowing the
website to process data, respond to user actions, and deliver content efficiently.

In essence, front-end and back-end developers work in tandem, like two sides of the same coin. While
front-end developers create the user interface, back-end developers handle the complex logic that makes
everything work seamlessly together, delivering a cohesive and functional web experience.

 CONCLUSION

In this conclusion, This internship was a great experience. This project acquired deeper knowledge
concerning my technical skills, but also personally benefited. Currently HTML is a common part of web
applications, and it is one of the most popular languages for web designing used by professionals
worldwide. If it is surf internet, It’s sees millions of websites designed with HTML and CSS. Learnt
to live in a different environment from the one of them used to. Indeed, they grew more independent
in work and also in everyday life. It realizes that could do more things than the thought, like learning
new things by myself. There are huge opportunities available for the students who want to work in this
field. Many private and public organizations hire web designer for their online work and website
development. With the rapid advent of online industry, the demand of web development professionals
is increasing, and this has created a huge job opportunity or the aspirants in the upcoming days. Also, an
experienced person in this field can also work as a freelancer; there are many online companies which
provide online projects to the individuals.
