Moving to a new country can be an exciting, even exhilarating experience.


In a new environment, you somehow feel more alive: seeing new sights, eating

climate against your skin stimulate your senses as never before. Soon, however,
this sensory bombardment becomes sensory overload. Suddenly, new
experiences seem stressful rather than stimulating, and delight turns into
discomfort. This is the phenomenon known as culture shock. Culture shock is
more than jet lag or homesickness, and it affects nearly everyone who enters
a new culture-tourists, business travelers, diplomats, and students alike.
Although not everyone experiences culture shock in exactly the same way,
many experts agree that it has roughly five stages.

Topic Sentence 1: In the first stage, you are excited by your new environment.

Topic Sentence 2: Sooner or later, differences in behavior and customs become


more noticeable to you.

Topic Sentence 3: In the third stage, you no longer have positive feelings about
the new culture.

Weather plays an important role in our life. Most of us prefer sunshine and calm
weather. We like sunbathing on a warm beach or hiking in the mountains on a

weather. For them bad weather is very expected thing to deal with. These people
are ocean racer, storm spotters, and storm chasers who love the challenge of
fighting nature.

Topic Sentence 1: Ocean racers are people who prefer strong winds to a soft
breeze to win a sailboat.

Topic Sentence 2: The second group, storm spotters, consists of people who
volunteer to help predict the weather for those who need accurate information,
such as boat captains.

Topic Sentence 3: Some chasers make up the last group, and they are the real
weather fanatics who follow storms in their cars or trucks just for fun and
pleasure.

We often think, and rightly so, that human beings are destroying the Earth and
the environment, but it is also true that sometimes the Earth and the environment

the Earth which is uncontrollable. In some cases natural belonging like trees,
insects, even virus and bacteria can defeat human being. However, nature is

our own benefits.

Topic Sentence 2: Furthermore, nature’s insects are far stronger than any human
being who can come into our nicely constructed houses or buildings either to

the environment are more powerful than we are what can cause serious disease
and even death.

Fish has been an important food source for people all over the world. It is high in

fishing now is big business, so fishing companies want to get as much fish as
possible from the ocean. However, their methods, such as overfishing, fish
farming, and bottom trawling, are threats to our oceans.

Topic Sentence 1: Overfishing is a major problem as it happens when modern


and technologically advanced ships hunt for fish.

Topic Sentence 2: Some people think that fish farming is the answer to
overfishing in the ocean though it is also damaging the ocean because smaller
fishes in huge quantity are being removed to feed the fishes in the farm.

Topic Sentence 3: Bottom trawling is a term that describes catching fish at the
bottom of the ocean which also a threat to ocean as it takes many things from the
bottom of the ocean which eventually get destroyed.

Since the middle of the 1990s, the ability to communicate electronically has
expanded dramatically. Electronic communication is changing how people relate
to one another. However, one thing remains constant: These new forms of
communication are not face to face. They are distant, and they keep people at a
distance. In my opinion, due to electronic communication, relationships today are
changing for the worse; they have become fragmented, superficial, and
anonymous.

Topic Sentence 1: Communication these days is becoming a process of


exchanging messages of two or three words which is called fragmented
communication where there is no scope of deep and long conversation to share
feelings.

Topic Sentence 2: No one reads e- mail messages carefully because there are just
too many of them which making human relationships more superficial day by
day.

Topic Sentence 3: In electric communication it is very easy to communicate with


others anonymously that means one can pretend to be anyone else which is
extremely alarming.

salesperson, the customer has all the authority.

Topic Sentence 2: We still believe that our teacher knows much more about the
subject than we do, so in this service relationship, the teacher has a medium level
of authority.

Topic Sentence 3: Certain service providers have such specialized skills and
knowledge that we tend to allow them complete authority in making decisions
about what's best like, the doctor-patient relationship.
