The given line graph compares how much money spent on books in four

different countries, namely Germany, France, Italy and Austria over a period of ten
years, starting from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, it can be seen that the money spent on books in all mentioned
countries saw an upward trend over the period shown. The figure for Germany
was highest.
The amount of money spent on books in Germany rose from 80 million
dollars to 90 million dollars from 1995 to 1999 and then saw a slow decrease of 5
million dollars in 2003. However, the figure for Germany increased rapidly by 10
million dollars in 2005. A slow rise was witnessed in the money people spent on
books in France over a ten-year period from 1995 to 2005 and reached a peak for
65 million dollars.
The figure for Italy saw a fluctuate line from 1995 and 1999 before went up
by ten million dollars from 50 million dollars to 60 million dollars in 2005. The year
1995 saw a small rise from the amount of money spent on books in Austria before
levelling off in 1999 and remained stable in two years. However, the line for
Austria had a rocket increase from 30 million dollars to 60 million dollars from
2001 to 2005.
