Summary Report For ChatGPT in Education
Summary Report For ChatGPT in Education
Introduction
Since the turn of the twenty first century, the pace at which Artificial
Intelligence (AI) has accelerated has been nothing short of existential; Education is in
the front row for this transformative experience. Hosted agents (such as chat-bots),
machine knowledge algorithms, adaptive learning systems, etc., have considerably
impacted on teaching as they provide personalized assistance and help in data-driven
decision making. One of the most important advancements is the Chat Generative
Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT), a Natural Language Processing (NLP) tool,
which generates contextually relevant answers to user inquiries. As AI tools like
ChatGPT become more popular, people are starting to see their potential to improve
education. However, as these tools are used more widely, it’s important to consider
their effectiveness, ethical issues, and possible risks. With ChatGPT being used more
in education, it’s crucial to understand the experiences, opinions, and concerns of
early users, including teachers, students, parents, and others.
This report takes a look at what people are sharing on four popular social media
platforms: Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn. It focuses on how ChatGPT is
being used in education and what people think about its impact. The aim is to provide
some useful insights into how ChatGPT is affecting education and help guide the
smart and responsible use of AI in schools in the future. Our study gives a clear look
at how ChatGPT is being used in different educational settings. It shows both the
positive and negative opinions from early users and points out important things to
think about for its future use. The findings highlight that while ChatGPT can be a
helpful tool for students and teachers, it’s important to use it carefully to make sure
it’s a fair, ethical, and effective part of education.
Methods
For this study, the researchers gathered data from four major social media
platforms—Twitter (now X), Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn—because they attract a
wide range of users and feature rich discussions around education. The researchers
accessed the data through the platforms’ APIs and used additional tools, like Helium
(v.3), to scrape LinkedIn content. These platforms were selected due to their global
reach and the variety of people they represent, including educators, students, and
general users.
The researchers focused on content that mentioned "ChatGPT" along with terms like
"Education," "Learn," "Teach," "Study," and "School" to make sure the data was
directly related to education. The data collected was all in English, and YouTube
videos were transcribed into text either manually or through the platform’s auto-
generated transcripts.
The researchers used stratified sampling methodology to be sure and capture a broad
and unbiased variety of opinions. The researchers selected top 1.25 times criteria
from each site assuming that such opinions will provide greatest views and likes. In
total, the researchers analyzed 6,000 posts—1,500 from each platform making sure to
include equal numbers of posts from five different groups: 3rd group: researchers,
educators, students, parents, general users (300 post each in each group). . Reaching a
point at which there was no new insight, was after the researchers analyzed
approximately 825 posts per platform.
Results
AI is of the present nowadays. It’s used for writing essays, summarizing
articles, and generally just creating code to solve programming problems. So many
students and professionals depend on it because it’s helpful and save time. There is,
with all its benefits, some concern about it. But there are some concerns that students
would cheat, or that they will too heavily rely on AI and get wrong information.
There’s also the fear that students might use AI to do their homework, missing out on
the chance to truly learn and think for themselves.
The study points out that ChatGPT can be a really useful tool, but it’s important to use
it the right way. Teachers and students need to know when it’s okay to use it and
when it’s better to do things on their own. And, most importantly, how do people use
ChatGPT in schools remains up to us. Then, if the people understand its strengths and
weaknesses, use it without causing them to learn. Knowing its limits will let us use it
to enhance what people need to be able to think and problem solve on our own.

Conclusion
To conclude, people should use ChatGPT to education, yet people should also
cloud wonder how much we spread it out. To do this, simply use ChatGPT for your
students and let them experience AI tools that can greatly benefit their learning if
they’re writing essays, summarizing articles or even learning to code much faster and
much easier than before. Some teachers and students have already reported having
had positive experiences with these tools, as they save time and give personalized,
efficient and effective ways to do many tasks related to education.
Yet there are proper concerns. The biggest issue with this is: the worry that students
would become addicted to AI and unable to think critically to solve their own
problems. For some, AI may be being used as a means to working its way through
assignments without absorbing the learning process. There’s also a risk of cheating
and using incorrect information since ChatGPT is not always correct.
It’s clear from the study that ChatGPT is a valuable tool, but that it is by no means a
replacement for human input. With that in place, teachers and students need to know
when it is proper and when it is not proper to use AI and when it is not proper to use
AIChatGPT can help — not hinder — the learning process. To make this work, it’s
important to harness the power of AI and find efficiency while keeping skills such as
critical thinking and problem solving are still pertinent.
Its future in education depends on the use the researchers make of the ChatGPT.How
the researchers use ChatGPT will determine its future in education. When they truly
start to think about their strengths and weaknesses in relation to AI, they can use AI to
promote their learning and not become trapped in a dependency on AI. If ChatGPT
were to be used in a responsible and careful way it would be a useful tool for
education, and without damaging academic integrity.
