Flexible Analysis

Flexible Analysis

Explanation Screenshot

A special feature of
the SAP S/4HANA
system is that you
have transactional
and analytic data all
in one place.

In addition, SAP
offers embedded
analytics functionality
in all SAP S/4HANA
systems. SAP
S/4HANA embedded
analytics includes a
built-in, user-friendly
analysis tool that
promotes self-service
analysis. It works on
real-time data, so all
analytics are always
up to date.

In this demonstration,
you will see the
Incoming Sales
Orders - Flexible
Analysis app. This is
an example for SAP
embedded analytics.
It is a real-time
multidimensional
report.

Watch how a user

can create own
reports on the fly.

1. Choose Analytics
& Monitoring.

The report was

simply executed and,
without any search
criteria. Because of
this, the report shows
all of the sales data
from across the
company.

You can use

authorizations to limit
the data that a sales
representative or
business user can
see.

In this demonstration,
you are authorized to
view all
organizational data
for all sales areas.

Let's take a look at

the multidimensional
report.

On the left you have

the navigation panel.
Here you find the
dimensions from
which you can
choose.

In this example the

dimension Sales
Organization was
selected for the rows
and Measures
and Timeline
(year/month of
creation) was
selected for the
columns.
All fields that are
available in a sales
document are listed
under Available
Fields.
Note: The available
fields can be
enhanced to include
your own company-
specific fields.

You can choose any

of the available fields
to build your own
reports.
Alternatively, you can
reuse a report that
has already been
created.

This will be shown in

the next steps

selecting the
dimensions, you have
further options for
editing a report, such
as filtering, sorting,
drilling down or totals.

SAP S/4HANA offers

the special feature
Navigate to.

With the feature

Navigate to a user
can jump directly
from the data in a
report to the
transactional data in
the application.

This is possible
because in an SAP
S/4HANA system you
have the
transactional and
analytical data all in
one place.
