The Course intends to give an overview of all major areas of Artificial Intelligence to
prospective managers along with case studies, setting up basic algorithms in
RapidMiner/Python, and discussion on contemporary topics. Students are introduced to
the basics of knowledge representation. Where the focus is on encoding the problems into
symbolic language that can be further processed by the information systems. Topics like
genetic algorithms, swarm intelligence, and expert systems will be covered too.
Machine learning is a subset of AI which deals with generating insights from data. This
process of generating insights can be automated using various algorithms. Hands-on
training will be provided to design statistical models and deploy these models for
automating decision-making.
