Time of inspection: the inspection was carried out as from 1430hrs to 1600hrs
Purpose of inspection: Registration

Services offered: Consultation, Outpatient care, Short term Family Planning,
HIV Testing, Rapid diagnostic test(RDTs) and Pharmacy .
Compound: measured approximately 100 by 50 ft. ,and was clean at the time of
inspection.
Fenced with live fence, a gate provided plus security with CCTV installed.
Waiting area: measured approximately 3.5 x 7m2
Provided with a three setter chair for clients with a sitting capacity of 18
clients
Tiled and painted white
Adequate lighting and ventilation provided.
Consultation room: Measured 4x 3m2
Provided with an examination coach two chairs,ofice desk for RDTs and
colour coded bins for healthcare waste management .
Treatment Room 1 : Measured 4x 4 m2
Fitted with three smallsize beds, medical I.V poles, Medicine trolley, a
container for sharps and waste segregation bins fitted with matching bin
liners.
Tiled, painted white and clean.
Treatment Room 2: Measured 4 x 3m2
Fitted with three small size beds, medical I.V poles, Medicine trolley, a
container for sharps and waste segregation bins fitted with matching bin
liners

SANITARY FACILITIES
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Adequate colour coded dustbin and bin liners provided for health care waste management and
ordinary bins also provided for general waste.
Incinerator to be done offsite at kakuma Sub –County Hospital *agreement letter with the hospital
(KSCH) to be attached.
WATER SUPPLY
Bore hall in lace to serve the facility and provided with 500L storage tank for backup.
STAFFING
RECOMMENDATION
1. Provide adequate colour coded bins and liners at the facility for HCWM
2. Provide additional sinks at the facility to enhance IPC protocols.
CONCLUSION
I have no objection to the registration of BILZGATE HEALTHCARE LTD since it meets the minimum
public health standards but the implementation of the above stated recommendation will go along
way to facilitate sooth operation of the facility.
