Exercise 1: Home Tab

The Home Tab contains basic formatting and editing tools.

 Objective: To practice text formatting, alignment, and editing.


 Tasks:
1. Type a paragraph of text.
2. Use bold, italics, underline, and change font size and font face.

4. Use bullet points and numbering for a list.
5. Align the paragraph to the left, center, and right.

Exercise 2: Insert Tab

The Insert Tab allows you to insert various objects into your document.

 Objective: To insert images, tables, and hyperlinks.


 Tasks:
1. Insert an image and resize it.
2. Insert a 3x3 table with sample data.
3. Insert cover page, chart, smart art, textbox, word art, drop cap, equation
4. Insert a hyperlink linking to an external website.
5. Insert a header and footer with your name and page number.

Exercise 3: Format Menu

The Format Menu appears when you select certain objects like text boxes or images, providing
context-specific formatting options.

 Objective: To format images, shapes, and text boxes.


 Tasks:
1. Insert a text box and apply a 3D effect.
2. Format an image by adding a border and shadow.
3. Adjust the position of an image using the wrap text feature.
4. Change the shape style of a SmartArt graphic.

Exercise 6: References Tab

The References Tab is used for inserting citations, tables of contents, and managing references.

 Objective: To create a table of contents and manage citations.


 Tasks:
1. Insert a table of contents based on your document's headings.
2. Insert Endnote and Footnote (Placeholder1)
3. Insert a citations and bibliography at the end of the document.

The Review Tab is used for proofing, comments, and tracking changes.
 Objective: To review and proofread a document.

3. Word count and Restrict editing

Exercise 9: View Tab

The View Tab allows you to switch between different document views and manage document
windows.

 Objective: To adjust document view settings.


 Tasks:
1. Switch between Print Layout, Web Layout, and Outline view.
2. Zoom in and out using the Zoom tool.
3. View the document in full screen using Read Mode.
