Adjective of Number: Those adjectives which clearly denote an exact number of nouns or
the order of the nouns
Adjective of Quality: it is used to describe the nature of a noun by answering the question
‘what kind’.
Adjective of Quantity: shows how much of a thing we are referring to. They do not provide
exact number, rather they tell us the amount of the noun in whole terms.
We use much with uncountables and Many with countables- much work, many children.
We use little with quantity and few with number.
Little means almost none; a little means some.
Few means almost none; a few means some.
Possessive Adjectives:
Any word that is used to describe the ownership or possession of something
by someone can be called a possessive adjective.
The possessive adjectives are my, your, his, her, its, our, their, and whose.
A possessive adjective sits before a noun (or a pronoun) to show who or what owns it. For
example:
Where is Jane? I have her hat.
(Here, the possessive adjective "her" sits before the noun "hat" to tell us that it belongs to
Jane.)
(The possessive adjective "their" sits before the noun "toys" to tell us that they belong to
the boys.) Demonstrative Adjective
