WHAT’S NEW?
1. VERSION FREQUENCY:
Starting from 2024, two versions will be delivered every year : a Spring and a Fall version named after the year and
the semester so you can identify them easily! (Example: 2024.1 for Fall 2024)
▪ Adopting a predictable delivery flow will allow planning upgrades more easily: you can get organized
accordingly in advance and keep your production flow at its best.
▪ Increasing frequency gives lighter contents upgrades and allows having up-to-date bug fixes on a regular
base: with quick and easy to learn & quality versions, your production keeps on going smoothly.

 IMPORTANT: Please be aware that the same license will allow the use of Spring and Fall versions of the
same year.

But that's not all. We are working on improving your Modaris upgrade experience to increase your productivity.
There's more to come. Stay tuned!

2. SPREADING THE DISPLAY ACROSS SEVERAL SCREENS


You can now work comfortably using several screens at the same time. The sub-menus will open on the Modaris
desktop screen.
Working with two (or more) screens is more comfortable and improves productivity. Offering a larger working area
ensures greater visual comfort and makes it easier to work simultaneously in different applications.
Users are free to arrange their work space as they choose, according to the prerequisites associated with their
workstation.

3. DELETE A LAYER (CLASSIC, EXPERT)


The Delete layer function lets you delete layers from the model to avoid accumulating layers that were not needed
in the current model or were created in error.

4. KEEP THE DEPENDENCE OF SYMMETRICAL OR ROTATED OBJECTS WHEN


COPYING SHEETS (CLASSIC, EXPERT)
To be able to easily rework an existing pattern, the Keep dep. sym. or rot. objects function can be used to keep
the dependency between symmetrical or rotated objects on a sheet when copying sheets.

5. INSERT A CURVE WITHOUT NOTCHES (CLASSIC, EXPERT)


With Modaris V2024.1, you can now insert a curve into a layer without inserting its notches, which simplifies
development in cases where the same curve needs to be used in combinations with and without notches for the
piece being generated.

6. DELETE ALL EXISTING LINKS BETWEEN SEAM VALUES IN A SINGLE


OPERATION (EXPERT)
Modaris V2024.1 lets you delete all existing links between seam values easily.

7. CREATE AN AXIS OF ROTATION WITH A LINEAR DISTANCE (DL) (EXPERT)


Modaris V2024.1 offers the possibility of defining an axis of rotation with linear values (dl).

8. CREATE A DEPENDENT DART DEPTH MARK (EXPERT)


When creating a dependent cap, you can now create a dependent dart depth mark. The mark will be placed at the
bisecting line, for all sizes, even after modification.

IMPROVEMENTS
1. THE MCM MEASUREMENT NAME COMPLETION WINDOW CAN BE RESIZED
(ESSENTIAL, CLASSIC, EXPERT).
The window size is wider when opened, but can be resized and moved. This makes it easier to choose the
measurement name. When the MCM and Modaris are closed, the size settings and location will be kept.

2. UPDATING THE WINDOWS FOLDER SEARCH WINDOW (ESSENTIAL, CLASSIC,


EXPERT)
This window, which is accessible in Modaris from File menu > Access paths or File menu > Model> Change
directory, is now more user-friendly. It can now be used to access the folder shortcuts.
