Nowadays, pollution is among one of the most concerning problems facing the world today and water
pollution is one of them. Water pollution is the contamination of bodies of water such as lakes, rivers,
oceans and groundwater. It can have many different causes. Waste from homes, factories and other
buildings that get into the water without treatment result in contaminated water. A reason worth mentioning
is the oil spill, which is harmful to people as well as marine life. Farms using pesticides to kill insects and
herbicides to kill weeds can also lead to water pollution.
Water pollution has dramatic effects. In many poor nations, there are frequent outbreaks of cholera and
other diseases because of people drinking untreated water. Humans and aquatic animals can even die if
they drink contaminated water. Furthermore, herbicides in water can kill aquatic plants and cause further
damage to the environment. Therefore, we have to penalize heavily those who throw rubbish into a river or
catch fishes illegally. Moreover, we can participate in community activities such as cleaning rivers and
lakes, persuade people about the seriousness of pollution. Let’s act now to protect the environment and
keep it green, clean and beautiful!
TOPIC 2: The importance of learning a new foreign language.
Foreign language now is a popular subject which almost people enjoy learning it. I think people should
learn at least one new foreign language because it is very important and useful.
First, we can enhance our basic knowledge about other countries and improve our memory. Sometimes
learning foreign languages brings us joy and social skills. Moreover, children who know at least one
foreign language tend to be more creative and flexible, so they will certainly study better at schools since
their brains work more effectively. Secondly, foreign languages help people to communicate with
foreigners. That would be a fantastic chance for us to make new friends, especially foreign friends, interact
with more people and be more friendly and confident. Last but not least, more opportunities in the future
are open to those who know a foreign language well. For example, if a person speaks foreign languages
fluently with confidence and impressive communication skills, he or she will be likely to get a well-paid
job in the future, or furthermore, they can work abroad.
In conclusion, foreign languages have many advantages, so learning them is very necessary nowadays.
Let’s learn a new foreign language efficiently at school when we are students.
TOPIC 3: The advantages and disadvantages of using mobile phones.
Nowadays, mobile phones are being used all over the world. It is clear that they have become an
inseparable part of our lives. They are something most people can’t live without, young or old. However,
there are both advantages and disadvantages to using a mobile phone.
Mobile phone has many benefits. First, mobile phone is one that we can use to make telephone calls to
anyone from a great distance. Therefore, student can use a phone to immediately call their parents in case
they have to stay at school or want to go home. Moreover, mobile phones are used to call security forces or
an ambulance in emergencies like fires, medical issues, or an accident. Second, since mobile phones are
often small and easy to bring, people can use it anytime at anywhere if the battery is full. Third, in the 4.0
world, we can do everything effortlessly with mobile phones. Furthermore, in the Covid-19 translation,
having a mobile phone will help you talk with your family and friends without face-to-face
communication.
On the other hand, mobile phones also bring about several problems that users should be aware of. First,
using mobile phones too much can result in the damage in the eyes. In addition, radiation from them is
believed to be harmful to human health because it causes certain kinds of brain disease. Second, people
who spend almost their time using mobile phone are addicted to them and this is not good for their physical
and mental health. Last but not least, a mobile phone may cause a big distraction while working, studying,
or driving because of calls and messages.
In short, using a mobile phone has both benefits and drawbacks. Nevertheless, a good or bad mobile phone
depend on the awareness of users. Therefore, use mobile phones at proper time don’t abuse it by anyway.
