Foreword

Appearance. Behaviour. Language. Everyone leaves an impres-


sion on their environment.

Our hairstyles, our clothes, our shoes and all the things we use to present
our personality create a visual image of ourselves. When they interact with
our behaviour and our language, this creates an overall image. The more
distinctive this interaction and the clearer the overall image is, the more
explicitly
the identity and the intentions of a person can be recognised.

As with a person, conclusions are also drawn from the appearance, behav-
iour and language of every institutional organisation. However, in contrast
to an individual, this is known as corporate design rather than appearance
in technical jargon. We don’t talk of behaviour, but of corporate behaviour.
We don’t talk of language, but of corporate communication. And of course,
the sum of all these factors is not simply identity, but corporate identity.

The Model logo reflects the character of our company.

The logo is the most important element of corporate identity. To ensure


that the logo is as effective as possible, it must be continually and consist-
ently deployed. This is also the case for all logos in the business fields (see
page 4). The logo may not be used in a text body. The logo appears exclu-
sively in colour as standard.
The specified white area ‘A’ around the logo is part of the
logo and is always required.

over the whole Model group.
The logo should not inserted as aesthetically as possible rather than simply
maximising the size.

Typefaces print

The font is another very important element of the corporate identity.


All printed matter is set out in the Univers font. Preferably using left
justification.
The Arial font is used for Office applications.
For web-based productions, a sans-serif font similar to Arial can be used.

Advertising media, giveaways

Possible uses

No engravings. No etchings.
Our core competence is packaging. If an advertising medium or giveaway is
not suitable to be adequately printed with the Model logo, it must be put in
packaging which can be printed with the logo.

Advertising media and giveaways can then fulfil their communicative task while
simultaneously conveying Model’s core competence.
