Project Description
WARNING:
Description:
Please read the instructions carefully and ensure all steps are followed in your project.
Write a technical report for your computer vision system that typically covers a range of topics,
detailing the system’s design, functionality, and performance. Outline and key elements to
include in your report:
Title Page
• Title of the report
2
• Team members
• Date
• Institution/Program/Course name
Executive Summary
• Brief overview of the entire project
• Key findings and conclusions
Table of Contents
• List of sections with page numbers
Introduction
• Purpose of the report
• Background information about the project
• Objectives of the computer vision system
System Overview
• Description of the computer vision system
• Hardware components used (cameras, sensors, processing units)
• Software components (image processing algorithms, deep learning models)
Design and Implementation
• Detailed architecture of the system
• Flowcharts and diagrams illustrating the workflow
• Development environment and tools used
• Integration strategies for hardware and software
Functionality and Features
• Core functions of the computer vision system
• Special features and capabilities
• User interfaces and interaction mechanisms
Performance Evaluation
• Methodology for testing the system's performance
• Results from performance tests (accuracy, speed, reliability, …)
• Comparisons to benchmarks or previous systems, if applicable.
Challenges and Solutions
• Technical challenges encountered during development
• Solutions implemented to overcome these challenges
• Discussion of trade-offs or alternative approaches considered
Future Work
• Suggestions for future enhancements
• Potential new features or improvements based on current technology trends
Conclusion
• Summary of the report
• Conclusions drawn from the development and testing phases
Teamwork
• Describe how your team collaborated to design, implement, and present the project, and
how you addressed any challenges that arose during these phases.
Appendices
• Additional data, code snippets, or technical details
• Glossary of terms
3
References
• Citations of sources and tools used in the project
Prepare a presentation based on the technical report, focusing on key elements. Highlight the main
points and ensure that the presentation is clear and well-structured.
Deliverables:
You should submit one zip file (EMAI651ProjectYourGroupID.zip) containing Project report
and Presentation:
• EMAI651_Gx_PTR.docx where EMAI651 is your course name, Gx your group
ID and PTR is project technical report.
• EMAI651_1487412_CP. ipynb where EMAI651 is your course name, Gx your
group ID, and CP is the code of project (Only Colab Notebook (ipynb) is
accepted).
Guidelines/Leng The Technical Report should be no less than 4 pages and should not
th exceed 15 pages, excluding the title page and table of content.
The font used should be Arial 12 for all text, and 14 or 16 for titles.
You may consult any papers, books, or online references but you have to
clearly cite your sources in your report and presentation.
Other The complexity of the project should reflect the number of members of the
information team. All team members are expected to contribute equally to the final
project. The group should all participate equally in producing the report. In
your report add a table to describe who did what.
NOTE: your name, ID, and course number should be included in the footer of all files!
