1 Landing Page
The Landing page of PAL4 has an abstract view of the application where quick access to the modules is placed. It
has the following features:

• Desired pages can be pinned on the Landing Page.


• Things to Do on the page can function as a reminder, as it gives a list of things to take care of on priority.
• The page also displays the status of the voyage graphically along with the list of upcoming ports.
• The Quick Search option can bring data from the whole application.
• Easy access icons placed on top of the screen are existing throughout the application for speedy navigation
and help.
• Designated keys for Support, Quick Tour, Quick Help, and Feedback.
• Dashboard tiles based on the vessel roles will be assigned from the Office.

2 Cadet Training
2.1 Task Pending to Approve
The number of tasks pending for approval is listed under Things to Do on the Landing page. The total count
displayed against the Task Pending To Approve title indicates the approvals that are pending based on the role
of the logged-in user. The count is hyperlinked to redirect to the Approve Task page wherein the approvers can
approve the requests submitted by the trainee.
This option is only available for the onboard Training Officers.

3 Maintenance
3.1 Maintenance Overview
A tile of information that is directly connected to the Maintenance module of the application, can display
maintenance aspects of the vessel. Tile features designated tabs holding information on Job Approval Pending,

Overdue Critical Jobs, Critical Spares, Critical Equipment, Postponed Jobs for Approval, and Jobs Postponed to
Drydock.

3.2 Overdue Jobs Non-Critical (%)


Overdue jobs are depicted graphically through this tile. Provision to view overdue jobs related to the deck and
engine is facilitated with distinct colour bars in the graph. Hovering the mouse pointer over each will give a
tooltip pointing to the completion status of the domain’s task on the month. Results can be filtered using
switching off a particular category by clicking on the colour notification given below the graph.

3.3 Maintenance Alerts


The Maintenance Alerts tile displays the details of all the received alerts/notifications/recommendations. The
tile carries three tabs Active, Inactive, and Archived. The list of the active, inactive, and archived alerts will be
displayed on the respective tabs. The alerts are displayed on the tile based on the escalations time frames. The
Chat functionality is available on the tile, and it helps the user to chat against the alerts and notifications from
Vessel to Office and vice versa.

4 Purchase
4.1 Purchase Overview
Purchase Overview tile belongs to Purchase module, has its functionality in reminding the user about pending
requisitions and GRNs. Purchase procedures can be pushed ahead with the help of this tile. Tile comprises of
two tabs which shares Requisition Pending and GRN Pending as the same has been hyperlinked to Requisition
and Goods Receipt pages respectively. The GRN Overdue section shows the count of POs for which the GRN is
overdue. If GRN is not created even after 5 days past the Readiness date/ETA date, they will be listed. The Review
Pending POs tab provides access to all the pending POs that are to be reviewed and approved.

Note: The count of POs pending for review can be viewed through Review Pending POs tab
The hyperlinked Review Pending POs navigates to the Review Purchase Order page.
The View All button navigates to the PO listing page, where the user can see all the pending POs for
review.
The PO created Date and the deadline date for the approval is made visible in the title.

4.2 Month End ROB (Lube Oil)


The Month End ROB (Lube Oil) dashboard shows the details of last six months. The details such as approval
status, date of submission, approval, and the user who approved can be viewed. The users can navigate to the
Month End ROB page from the tile, through the hyperlink in the Month column.

5 Sea Roster
5.1 Work/Rest Hour Non-Conformities
The SeaRoster tile focuses on bringing out statistical data of non-conformity work/rest hours. The bar graph
displays results on the base of rank groups as each of them indicates percentage of non-conformity work hours
out of the total work hours listed. Bars will populate the selected rank group’s window when clicked on, for
example ‘Rank Group wise Nc Alert-Chief Officer’ window will contain detailed information of seafarer under
selected rank group with NC.

The employee number and schedule date in the window are hyperlinked to the pages Monthly Plan Log and
Daily Plan Log respectively. The tile is also equipped with filtering tools to sort the data based on the period and
rank groups.

6 Crewing
6.1 Crew Overview
The Crew Overview tile comes in handy in accessing a glimpse of the core functionality of the Crewing module.
The tile has been decorated with various hyperlinked essentials of the module such as Quarterly Appraisals
Pending, Upcoming Crew Changes, Expiring Documents, Relief Plan Pending, Sign-on Intimation Approval
Pending, Extend/Reduce Approval Pending, and Bank Account Approval Pending. The tile is also equipped to
display the sections that have been waiting to be sent to the Office for approval.

All the segments except the Drug & Alcohol Test and the Expiring/Expired documents are hyperlinked to the
collective data of the Crew List page, from where further actions to the respective proceedings can be
performed. The Drug & Alcohol section navigates to the page with the same name in the Crewing module. when
the user clicks the count of Expiring/Expired Documents, the Expiring/Expired Documents pop-up window will
be displayed. The documents that are expired and are about to expire will be listed on the pop-up.

7 Payroll
7.1 Payroll Overview
The Payroll Overview tile displays the payroll process status of the crew on board for a month. It is the count of
payrolls, that have passed through the various stages of payroll processing and includes those that have not as
well. The displayed count in tile is hyperlinked to the respective action platforms.

Following are the various statuses that will pop up in the tile:

8 LPSQ
8.1 Risk Assessment Status
Risk Assessment Status, one of the tiles designed for LPSQ have its hands on featuring risk assessment
procedures initialized and status of the same. The tile works by displaying the count of assessment procedures

against respective status listed within. Clicking on the hyperlinked count will initiate navigation to Risk
Assessment page of LPSQ. Period slider is facilitated in the tile to filter the data, based on period.

8.2 Number of Findings


Number of Findings tile deals with deficiencies reported in vessel. Each listed report subtype will be displaying
counts of respective deficiency if any. Both report sub type and the count of the deficiency reported are
connected to Compliance page using hyperlink. Period slider is also available in the tile to filter the data, based
on period.

8.3 LPSQ Notifications


Notifications of LPSQ module has been given easy access through this tile. Tile is enabled with rank wise
notifications to populate, as ‘My Notifications’ tab holds count of unread notifications of Master and all other
ranks’ messages will come under Common Notifications. Clicking on the hyperlinked count will navigate to Risk
Assessment page.

9 QDMS Wiki
9.1 Recently Released Documents
PAL4 has a dedicated dashboard tile strategized for QDMS Wiki to report on the document replication details.
This will bring number of documents with its name, document number, version and published date during a
period of a month by default. User has the privilege to change the period as they desire using the slider.

10 Performance
10.1 Performance Alerts
When Performance Alerts is clicked the user will be navigated to the respective dashboard tile. This is introduced
to notify the users, in case of deteriorating condition of vessel machineries, less efficient operation/voyage,
erroneous reporting of logs or even missed reporting logs. The Performance Alert Dashboard populated on the
vessel environment PAL Dashboard page is sourced from the Performance Alert Dashboard populated at the
office environment.

The tile contains three tabs Active Alerts, Inactive Alerts and Archive.

• Active Alerts: The alerts are generated and listed based on the different operating conditions.
• Inactive Alerts: These are alerts which were Active but not valid anymore. This can happen in a case
where vessel resubmits a previous log with correct values or a new log with correct values.
• Archive: These are alerts which are considered as closed. Which means a corrective action was already
taken by captain based on the alert or TSI/FM/FD/FPC identified the corrective measures and closed
the matter.

A graph will be generated based on the last saved data at the time of alert generation. The last saved data will
be replicated to vessel to populate the corresponding graphs in the vessel.

A vessel environment user can only view and open each alert which is listed. Still the user will have the provision
to chat/reply to the comments from the office user.

11 Certification
11.1 Certificate Alerts
This tile has two tabs, named as Event and My Notifications.

Expiry details of certificates and surveys are listed under the Events tab. Notification on actions taken in any
certificate documents are displayed in the My Notifications tab.

In the Events tab, the details of the certificates or surveys expiring in a specific period will be displayed. This tile
displays the expiry status of the document based on the due date for certificate.

• Clicking on each event, the user will be re-directed to the appropriate pages. The user can renew or
update the Certificate/Survey as required.
• All the vessel certificates/surveys are listed.
Tile displays the due information in the respective colour codes.
• The certificates/surveys expiring in 7 days or expired/deleted are marked in Red.
• The certificates/surveys expiring in 30 days are marked in Orange.
• The certificates/surveys expiring in 60 days are marked in Yellow
In the Notification tab, any amendments or uploads to the certificate documents are notified.
• Clicking on each notification, re-directs the user to a specific page. This action will not be carried for the
deleted surveys/certificates.

11.2 Certificate Due Date Overview


In this tile, the user can view the due date details of the documents expiring in a specific period. On clicking the
count, a drill down is provided to give due date details of the specific document.

• All the vessel specific documents are listed here.


o Expired: Total count of certificates/surveys already expired can be viewed in the tile.
o Survey Window Open: To represent the surveys which are within the window open period.
o In 30 Days: Total count of certificates/surveys which expires within 30 days.
o In 31-60 Days: Total count of certificates/surveys which expires within 31-60 days.
o In 61-91 Days: Total count of certificates/surveys which expires within 61-91 days.
o Null Certificate: Total count of certificates with no due date will be displayed.

• Clicking on Vessel Status link navigates to the Vessel Status report (graphical) page.
• Clicking on the hyperlinked number the window, displays the additional details.

• The Details window of Conditions and Memos/Remarks includes an additional tab – Pending Linked Job
Orders.

• All the pending Job Orders are listed under the tab. Clicking on the Hyperlinked Job Order No. navigates
to the Job Order Creation page of Maintenance module.

12 InfoPoint
InfoPoint placed on the landing page of the Vessel environment, carries two tabs – Special Alerts and System
Alerts.

• The Special Alerts tab displays all the tags created from the Office. The user can view the name, code,
and the created date of the tags from this tab. The tags will be populated based on the period selected
in the date filter. The user can select the period by dragging the slider. These tags contain
information/alerts which are useful for the crew in the vessel. Attachments will also be available in the
Tags.
• The System Alerts tab gives the list of predefined alerts provided to the vessel. The Red Dot above the
tab denotes that the system alerts are available for this vessel.

13 Dashboard/Generic Titles
13.1 Release Note Overview
environment. It provides an overview of all the release notes of applications that are generated through the
System Manager. At present, it includes the release notes of the applications that are scheduled for the
current release. The release notes of the rest of the applications will also appear on the tile along with future
releases. Previous release notes cannot be viewed through this tile as they were retained in another format.

The following are the main features of the Release Note Overview tile:
• The Overview tile will display the details of the latest release notes of the applications by
default.
• The options slider and date picker help the user to select the release notes within a selected
date range.
• The application filter helps in filtering the details of release notes of the desired applications
within a selected date range.
• The Reset option on the tile permits the user to clear the selected filters.
• The columns Application Name, Version Number, Release Date, Download, and History are
available on the Overview tile.
• The hyperlinked version number will navigate to a Release Note Summary pop-up. Click the
Download button to download the release notes in PDF format.

• On clicking the History icon, a pop-up named Release Note History will appear. The user can
search records by content to access the required release notes.
