PRESENTS

Introduction
InnoNerds are organizing a first-of-its kind intra-departmental
coding battle where teams from CS, SE, AI, Cyber Security, and
CE will compete against each other to win the competition for
their programs. Similar semester teams will compete against
each other to provide a fair chance to participants. Get ready to
win the crown for your side!

Competition Overview
Date: 18th December 2024
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: SE, AI Labs
Competition Format: (Max 2 participants per team)
Duration: 2 hours

Eligibility Criteria
Participants must be from the following programs:
Computer Science (CS)
Computer Engineering (CE)
Software Engineering (SE)
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Cyber Security (CyS)
Competition Structure
The competition is organized into the following 3 categories:
1. 1st Semester vs. 1st Semester
2. 3rd Semester vs. 3rd Semester
3. 5th and 7th Semester Combined vs. Each Other
Participants will compete against their peers from the same
academic level.

Competition Rules
To ensure a fair and competitive environment, the following rules
apply:
1. Internet Usage
Participants are permitted to use the internet solely for
research purposes.
2. Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in
immediate disqualification:
Use of AI-based tools, mobile phones, personal laptops,
or any external communication.
Plagiarism or reliance on external assistance.
3. Approved Programming Languages
Participants may use any of the following languages:
C, C++, Python, Java
4. Problem-Solving Guidelines
Participants will be tasked with solving a series of coding
challenges within the designated two-hour duration.
All code must be authored independently by team members.
5. Submission Instructions
Participants must save their work on the desktop and refrain
from shutting down the provided computers. Submissions
will be reviewed directly by the judges.
Late submissions will not be entertained under any
circumstances.
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of 1 faculty member
from each program. The evaluation will be based on the following
criteria:
1. Correctness (60%)
Functionality: Accuracy of output for all test cases, including
edge cases.
Error Handling: Proper handling of exceptions and errors.,
2. Code Quality (20%)
Clarity and Readability: Code that is clean, well-documented,
and easy to understand, with meaningful variable names.
Modularity: Organized code with reusable components.
Simplicity: Avoidance of redundant or overly complex logic.
3. Optimized Logic (20%)
Originality: Innovative approaches that differ from
conventional solutions.
Advanced Concepts: Application of sophisticated algorithms
or techniques.
Efficiency: Elegant and high-performance solutions.

Prizes and Recognition


Winner’s Prize: A cash award of PKR 5,000 for the winning
team in each category along with shields
Certificates: Participation certificates will be awarded to all
competitors
