MISSION OF OUR DEPARTMENT

1. To develop skilled professionals and innovative researchers by leveraging exceptional


faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and advanced laboratory resources.

2. To deliver skill-building and competency-enhancing programs and projects that tackle


real-world societal challenges through the application of artificial intelligence and data
science.

3. To foster entrepreneurial skills and cultivate a passion for advanced studies in both core
and interdisciplinary fields within the realm of artificial intelligence and data science.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Graduates of Artificial intelligence and data Science can,


1. Evolve into proficient professionals and pioneering researchers through the utilization of
outstanding faculty, cutting-edge infrastructure, and advanced laboratory resources.
2. Engage in identifying, analyzing, and formulating problems, as well as create and execute
programs and projects aimed at enhancing skills and addressing real-world societal
challenges.
3. Nurture entrepreneurial skills and show a desire for further academic pursuits across
diverse fields, leveraging artificial intelligence and data science.
Program Outcomes (PO’s)

PO1. Engineering knowledge application: Utilize mathematics, science, engineering


fundamentals, and specialized knowledge to solve intricateengineering challenges.

PO2. Problem analysis and conclusion: Identify, formulate, review literature, and analyze
complex engineering issues to draw well-supported conclusions using fundamental principles of
mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering.

PO3. Design and development of solutions: Develop solutions and design system components
or processes that meet specified requirements with due consideration for public health, safety, and
cultural, societal, and environmental factors.

PO4. Investigation of complex problems: Employ research-based knowledge and


methodologies, including experimental design, data analysis, and synthesis, to derive valid
conclusions.

PO5. Utilization of modern tools: Employ appropriate techniques, resources, and contemporary
engineering and IT tools, including modeling and prediction, for complex engineering tasks, with
awareness of their limitations.

PO6. Engineering in societal context: Apply contextual knowledge to assess societal, health,
safety, legal, and cultural issues, and the associated responsibilities pertinent to professional
engineering practices.
PO7. Environmental impact and sustainability: Understand the societal and environmental
impacts of engineering solutions and demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to sustainable
development.

norms in engineering practice.

PSO 1: Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency,
reduce human error, and streamline processes across various industries, thereby contributing to
sustainable development.

PSO 2: Foster ethical and responsible AI practices by integrating principles of fairness,


transparency, and accountability into AI systems, ensuring that AI applications respect privacy,
reduce bias, and positively impact diverse communities.
