 Introduction

This activity will allow me to strengthen previous knowledge, in the same way acquire knowledge
for the development of narratives or a coherent and efficient discourse that allows me to integrate a broad
knowledge of contexts in the second English language for the administrative environment.

On the other hand, its content allows us to energize ourselves with new study methodologies, thus
strengthening better education with the purpose of improving unique knowledge.

 Objectives

General

 To improve the communicative speaking skills and interact with a degree of fluency about
traditions in his/her country.

Específic

 Design an infographic by answering the following questions: Then, post it in the forum.

 Participate in two (2) Student’s Talking Time -STT Workshops.

 Record a video in the forum in which you will answer 5 questions of your infographic.

 Complete the checklist and post it in the forum. After this, submit your final work in
 Evaluation Environment.

 The activity consists of:

Recording a video by completing the following steps in order to develop and improve
your listening and speaking skills.

Step 1 – Getting Started:

Design an infographic by answering the following questions: Then, post it in the forum.

• What do you do on New Year’s Day? On New Year's Day, I usually spend time with family
and friends to celebrate and reflect on the past year, and talk about plans for the new year.
• How do you prepare for New Year? In my preparation for the New Year, I make resolutions,
set goals, and create a vision board for the coming year.
• Do you have any family tradition? My family tradition is to have a big feast with traditional
foods and exchange gifts on New Year's Eve.
• When do you open presents? We normally open gifts on Christmas morning, but we reserve a
special gift exchange on New Year's Day.
• What is your favorite holiday food? My favorite Christmas food is roast meat, a good
Christmas salad, custard, donuts and don't miss a good refreshing cold drink.
• What do you usually do during the holiday season? During the holiday season, I enjoy
spending time with my loved ones, attending holiday parties, and contributing to the community through
volunteer work and some donations we make as a family.
• Do you have a favorite New Year film? My favorite New Year's movie is "When Harry Met
Sally" because of its touching story of love and friendship.
• What have you learned in 2023? In 2023 I learned the importance of self-care and prioritizing
mental health over money, I also took away many pleasant moments from 2023.
• What was your favorite memory in 2023? My favorite memory in 2023 was traveling to a new
destination and exploring a different culture.
• If you had the power, what would you change about your study or work? If I had the power,
I would change the work environment to be more flexible and conducive to work-life balance.

Step 2 – Student’s Talking Time – STT:

Participate in two (2) Student’s Talking Time -STT Workshops. You will get 20 points in Step 2 for your
attendance and active participation.
Do not forget! It’s important to take a screenshot with your attendance and participation. Post them in the
forum.

 Step 3 – Expose your Ideas:

Record a video in the forum in which you will answer 5 questions of your infographic. Remember to explain
your responses with details and examples.
It is recommended that your face must appear in the video. The minimum length of the video should be two
(1:30) minutes. Record in real time your video showing your face and sharing your screen (Infographic).

 Conclusions

This work allowed me to deepen my understanding of the concepts associated with grammar and
its importance in the fluency of a conversation.

Working with real situations in simulated practices expands knowledge and this is where it plays
an important role in learning.

The development of each step allowed me to refine knowledge, enrich vocabulary and the
development of this section, the creation of the email and the development of a formal and informal
conversation made me put myself in context and learn a narrative.
