- The Contractor should follow the safety instructions and he is responsible for the safety of his workers at the site and must provide
all safety tools.
- All demolition and removal works include disposal of the demolished materials and debris to a dump area approved by the Municipality.
- It shall be deemed that the Contractor had physically visited the site at the tendering stage & had investigated fully the nature of the required works & he is
fully aware of all the obstacles and circumstances of the site.
- Contractor should bear any damages or losses as a result of his work.
- It shall be deemed that the contractor has included in his prices the cost of removal and demolition and modifications of all obstructions even for those that
might not be specifically indicated under the item description in the B.O.Q.
- It is the responsibility of the contractor to determine the precise location of all existing utilities and under ground services in coordination with the owner team
and to protect them from any damage during his work.
- Important: the contractor should provide a civil engineer or a surveyor to supervise the work at the site and prepare the required site levels
drawings with the road levels with the factory gates and the existing manhole levels and submit the proposed layout for
the new asphalt levels.

A DEMOLITION & REMOVAL WORKS

The tenderer should insert the unit rate only for the below items.

Breaking up the required areas of the existing asphalt layer, considering


maintaining the existing manholes and other utilities at the site area, cleaning
1 the area and making it flat, and including removal and disposal of the M2 10,000 17 170,000.00
demolished materials and
debris to a dump area approved by the Municipality.

Ditto, but breaking up the ceramic floor including the concrete layer under it in
2 front of the admin. Building. M2 850 12 10,200.00

B EARTHWORKS

Filling using imported materials (A-1-a) to be compacted in layers not exceed M3


200 mm thick. under the new asphalt layer, and including soil compaction test
1 (up to 95% max. dry 4,000 34.00 136,000.00
density).
C PAVING & SURFACING

New Asphalt layers 120mm thick. consist of:


− MC-1 primer coat applied at a rate of 1.75 liter/M2.
− Hot-rolled bituminous base course, 70mm thick.
1 − Tack coat applied at a rate of 0.25 lit/M2 between M2 14,000 85.00 1,190,000.00
base course and wearing surface.
− Hot-rolled bituminous wearing course 50mm thick.

2 Precast concrete colored flag tiles 400 x 400 x 40 mm for side M2 100 90.00 9,000.00
walks including morter bed and 50 mm sand bed.
3 Supply & install new Pre-cast concrete road curbs in straight lines and in LM 300 50.00 15,000.00
curves 500x300x150mm (where required) including plain concrete bedding,
painting with weatherproof paint in
yellow and black colors, for a complete job.

Painting the existing old sidewalk of poured concrete curbs, including sanding
and removal of the old paint, repairing the small damages or scratches of the
4 concrete with approved materials, smoothing the surface, and painting with LM 600 18.00 10,800.00
weatherproof paint in yellow and black colors.

Ditto as item #(04), but including demolishing the damaged part of the
concrete curb and pouring a new one with the same shape & size using

bedding, and painting with weatherproof paint in yellow and black colors.

Insitue reinforced concrete 100 mm thick. of sulphate resisting cement C-30
