Isometric Projections Assignment
Isometric Projection
1. Draw an isometric view of a square prism of base 40 mm side and axis 60 mm long resting on
the HP (a) on its base with axis perpendicular to the HP, (b) on its rectangular face with axis
perpendicular to the VP, and (c) on its rectangular face with axis parallel to the VP.
2. Draw isometric view of a hexagonal prism with side of base 25 mm and 60 mm long axis. the
prism is resting on its base on the HP with an edge of the base parallel to the VP.
3. Draw the isometric projection of a pentagonal prism of 40 mm base side and 70 mm long axis
resting on its base on the HP with an edge of the base parallel to the VP.
4. Draw isometric view of a pentagonal pyramid of 30 mm base side and 50 mm long axis (a) when
its axis is vertical, and (b) when its axis is horizontal.
5. Draw isometric projection of a cone of 50 mm base diameter and 70 mm long axis when the
base is (a) on the HP (b)in the VP
6. Draw an isometric projection of the frustum of a hexagonal pyramid having 40 mm base side, 25
mm long top side and 60 mm height.
7. A square pyramid rests centrally over a cylindrical block. Draw the isometric projection of the
arrangement. Consider the pyramid has a base with 25 mm side and 40 mm long axis whereas
the cylindrical block has a base with 50 mm diameter and 20 mm thickness.
8. A cube 30 mm edge is placed centrally on the top of a cylindrical block of ɸ52 mm and 20 mm
height. Draw the isometric drawing of the solid.
9. Draw the isometric view of a hexagonal prism having side of base 25 mm and axis 65 mm long
resting on its base on HP.
10. Differentiate between the first angles and third angles projection.
11. Draw the isometric view of a hexagonal prism having side of base 25 mm and axis 65 mm long
resting on its base on HP.
12. Draw the isometric projection of the frustum of a cone of 50 mm base diameter, 25 mm top
diameter and 60 mm height.
13. A square pyramid rests centrally over a cylindrical block. Draw the isometric projection of the
arrangement. Consider the pyramid has a base with 25 mm side and 40 mm long axis whereas
the cylindrical block has a base with 50 mm diameter and 20 mm thickness.
14. Draw the isometric projection of a sphere of 25 mm radius which rests centrally on the top of a
square prism of base edge 60 mm and height 30 mm.
15. A sphere of 60 mm diameter is placed centrally on the top of a frustum square pyramid. the
base of the frustum is 60 mm square, the top is 40 mm square and its height is 50 mm. Draw the
isometric projection of the arrangement.
