Release Notes
OpenText recommends that you read these Release Notes in conjunction with the documentation
included with the software package. If any conflicts exist, the Release Notes supersede the other

that may have been posted after the initial release of this product.
This document provides information about Archive Services for SAP Solutions, which is certified on
Documentum Server 23.2, 23.4 and 24.2. This document describes the new features, supported
environments and compatibility, fixed issues, known issues, and limitations.
The Archive Services for SAP Solutions integrates the Documentum content management system
with the SAP R/3 and ECC system. It is an interface to the SAP R/3 and ECC system based on SAP
ArchiveLink interface.
• Easy access and display of documents stored in a Documentum repository from a variety of SAP
modules.
• Archival of SAP data, reports, and documents through ArchiveLink certified interfaces in
Documentum.
• Usage of SAP ILM with AS SAP.
Archive Services for SAP Solutions provides the following features:
• HTTP archiving services
A server component that enables you to archive reports, data, incoming and outgoing documents
from SAP to the Documentum repository by using an HTTP connection to SAP. The Archive
Services for SAP Solutions is a J2EE servlet that communicates with SAP ArchiveLink. The
reports and archived documents can later be retrieved and viewed through SAP GUI.
• The new DmWebDAV package, having all the supported versions of RPS and DFC JAR files is
now available with AS SAP.

Before beginning installation, ensure that your system meets the requirements listed in Chapter 4,
Supported environments and compatibility. After installation, be sure to update your software to the
latest patched release, if any patches are available.

instructions on installing and configuring Content Services for SAP Solutions.
8 Patches
A patch is a piece of software that is designed to fix or improve a computer program or its supporting
data. These may include repairs to security vulnerabilities or resolution of bugs and may also improve
usability or performance.
The following patches must be applied to Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP Solutions 24.2.
OpenText recommends that you check My Support for any patches or documentation updates that
may have been posted after this release.
8.1 Hotfixes
Hotfixes are small patches that address software issues. Typically, there is no new functionality in a
hotfix. Hotfixes can be cumulative.
8.2 Updates
Updates consist of multiple fixes combined into a single patch. An update may also include new
features proactively introduced into the product. Updates are also known as service packs or service
releases. In most cases, updates are cumulative.
