1 Introduction
These Release Notes provide an overview of Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP Solutions
24.2, including new features, delivery information, and supported platforms.

OpenText recommends that you read these Release Notes in conjunction with the documentation
included with the software package. If any conflicts exist, the Release Notes supersede the other
documentation.

We also recommend that you check OpenText My Support for any patches or documentation updates
that may have been posted after the initial release of this product.

2 About Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP


Solutions 24.2
This section provides an overview of Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP Solutions 24.2.

This document provides information about Archive Services for SAP Solutions, which is certified on
Documentum Server 23.2, 23.4 and 24.2. This document describes the new features, supported
environments and compatibility, fixed issues, known issues, and limitations.

The Archive Services for SAP Solutions integrates the Documentum content management system
with the SAP R/3 and ECC system. It is an interface to the SAP R/3 and ECC system based on SAP
ArchiveLink interface.

Archive Services for SAP Solutions provides the following benefits:

• Easy access and display of documents stored in a Documentum repository from a variety of SAP
modules.
• Archival of SAP data, reports, and documents through ArchiveLink certified interfaces in
Documentum.
• Usage of SAP ILM with AS SAP.
Archive Services for SAP Solutions provides the following features:
• HTTP archiving services
A server component that enables you to archive reports, data, incoming and outgoing documents
from SAP to the Documentum repository by using an HTTP connection to SAP. The Archive
Services for SAP Solutions is a J2EE servlet that communicates with SAP ArchiveLink. The
reports and archived documents can later be retrieved and viewed through SAP GUI.

• WebAdmin
An administrative console that allows you to:
• Create, configure, and manage archives.
• Manage certificates for the archive.
• Create repository connections for Archive Services for SAP Solutions.

• Configure document archival for Archive Services for SAP Solutions.


• Archive Services for SAP Solutions ILM feature
• Archive Services for SAP Solutions provides capabilities of SAP ILM with archiving.

• The new DmWebDAV package, having all the supported versions of RPS and DFC JAR files is
now available with AS SAP.

2.1 New features


Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP Solutions 24.2 has no new feature in this release. This
release focuses and addresses Security related issues and in sync with Documentum Releases like
Vault Integration, Application Server upgrades on JDK17 etc.

5 Supported environments and compatibility


This section provides details about supported platforms, systems, and versions.

Notes
• An OpenText product configuration running on a particular environment is
supported as long as versions of the components in the environment (for
example, operating system, database, web server, browser, SSO, Directory
Servers, and so on) are in standard/primary support by their vendors.
• Software requirements are listed with release numbers. Software updates—
including patches, Service Packs, and equivalent updates—sometimes
introduce unanticipated changes. Compatibility with software updates that
are not listed here cannot be guaranteed.
• All certifications provided in this document are relevant to the current
release. Certifications for patches are documented in the Patch Notes
documents published for the patch releases.

5.1 Supported systems


5.1.1 Java certifications
• Redhat OpenJDK 17.0.10
• Oracle JDK 17.0.10
• Eclipse Adopium Temurin 17.0.10
• Amazon Corretto 17.0.10

Notes
• Oracle's version of OpenJDK is certified and note that OpenText provides
limited support for OpenJDK from other vendors and you can use such
implementations of OpenJDK at your discretion.

• Documentum supports publicly available security updates on Oracle JDK


17/OpenJDK 17 Long Term Support (LTS) versions. OpenJDK 17 is
functionally compatible across vendors. Unless an issue is found at the Java
level, OpenText can offer support if the issue is reproducible with the in-
house certified flavor of OpenJDK 17

7 Installation and upgrade notes

latest patched release, if any patches are available.

8 Patches
A patch is a piece of software that is designed to fix or improve a computer program or its supporting

The following patches must be applied to Documentum™ Archive Services for SAP Solutions 24.2.

8.1 Hotfixes
