The three main types of cache memory associative mapping are:


 Direct-mapped: Each block of data is mapped to a single cache location.
 Set-associative: A compromise between direct-mapped and fully associative
mapping, where each block is mapped to a subset of cache locations.
 Fully associative: Also known as completely associated memories (CAMs),
each block of data can be mapped to any cache location.
