the product, please read this manual carefully before use.

2.3 LED Indicator

3. Before Use

3.1 Install the Nano SIM Card


Open the card slot cover.

Unlock the Nano SIM card flip cover according to the instructions on it.

Insert the Nano SIM card into the slot.

Lock the flip cover and slot cover, as shown in the following figure.

3.2 Attach and Remove the Battery

 Use only the Hytera standard or optional battery. Polarity reverse or use of other batteries may result
in explosion and fire hazards.
 Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the "Recycling and Handling Safety Precautions" in the
Safety Information Manual.

 Attach the battery

a. Align the two protrusions on the top of the battery with the two holes on the battery slot.

b. Press the bottom of the battery down into the battery slot.

c. Slide the battery latch to the left until you hear a click.
 Remove the battery

a. Turn off the product.

b. Press down the gray button in the middle of the battery latch, and then slide the battery latch to the right.

The battery is unlocked.

3.3 Attach and Remove the Belt Clip


 To attach the belt clip, slide the belt clip down to the slot, as shown in the following figure.

 To remove the belt clip, press the metal piece upward during reversing the attaching steps.

3.4 Charge the Battery


Connect the product with the battery attached to power supply through the USB cable and power adapter in the
package, as shown in the following figure.

You can learn about the charging status from the LED indicator. For details, see 2.2 Key Functions

4. Basic Operations

4.1 Turn On or Off the Product


Long press the Power On/Off key to turn on or off the product.

After being turned on, the product displays the language selection interface or the video recording interface.

4.2 Understand the Screen

The following table describes icons that might appear in the status bar.

4.2.2 Control and Notification Center


To enter the control and notification center, on the main screen, swipe down from the status bar.

 In the control center, you can adjust volume or brightness, turn on or off the mute mode or flashlight, open
settings,

 In the notification center, you can view or clear notifications.

New notifications are displayed shortly at the top of screen, or displayed constantly in the middle of screen
until you acknowledge it.

4.2.3 Sleep and Wakeup

Sleep

Press the Power On/Off key.

 Automatically

Go to Settings > System > Sleep, and then set the sleep time.

When the sleep time is up, the product enters sleep mode automatically.

Wakeup

Press the Power On/Off key.

4.3 Connect to the Network

4.3.1 Mobile Network


Before enabling the cellular network, make sure that the SIM card is properly inserted and registered to the carrier
networks. When not using the cellular network, disable the cellular network to save traffic and extend the standby
time.

Go to Settings > Network & connection > Mobile network.

To enable mobile network, tap following Mobile data.


(Optional) To enable data roaming, tap following Data roaming.

4.3.2 WLAN
You can connect the product to the WLAN to access the server, make calls, and send and receive messages.

To use the WLAN, do the following:

Open Settings.

 Swipe down from the status bar, and then tap .

 On the home screen, tap .

Go to Network & connection > WLAN.

Tap following WLAN.

The available WLAN networks will be displayed.

Tap a network.

The product will automatically connect to the network.

(Optional) If the network displays with a icon, enter the password, and then tap CONNECT.

The product automatically saves the WLAN information upon successful connection, and automatically reconnects when
WLAN is switched on.

4.4 Adjust the Volume


 Swipe down from the status bar, tap the volume bar or drag the slider.

 See 5 System Settings.


5. System Settings
On the home screen, tap , and then configure the parameters according to actual situations.

Setting Description

You can view information such as user name, user ID, agency name, and agency

You can enable or disable the WLAN, view the available networks, and connect to

connect to other network devices to share files.

Setting Description

You can set the following parameters of the Smart MDM accounts:

 Self-upgrade mode: In this mode, the product periodically queries whether a

firmware upgrade is available on the Smart MDM. If yes, you will be reminded
MDM
to upgrade the firmware.

 Server address: address of the server where the upgrade firmware is stored. You

can enter the domain name, or the address in the format of "IP address of the
server: port number".

Sever account  Strong control mode: In the mode, you can manage the product, and change the

Smart MDM address on the product through the Smart MDM. In addition, self-

upgrade is unavailable.

DEM  Server address: address of the Smart MDM server with the format of "IP

address of the Smart MDM server: port number".

The parameter of the DEM account is described as follows:

Report address: Address of the DEM server with the format of "IP address of the

DEM server: port number".

You can view the device name, device ID, software version, serial number (SN), international mobile

About device equipment identifier (IMEI), mobile equipment identifier (MEID), storage capacity (total space and

available space), and certifications.


6. Basic Functions

6.1 Video Recording


Before video recording, set the related parameters, such as Video Resolution, Night Vision, Pre-event Record, or
Post-event Record. For details, see 5 System Settings.

 Normal recording

a. In the preview mode, toggle down the Video Recording key to start recording.

The LCD touch screen displays the recording time.

b. Toggle up the Video Recording key to end recording.

 Pre-event recording

During pre-event recording, the product displays the icon .

 Post-event recording

During post-event recording, the product displays the icon .

6.2 Audio Recording


You can record the on-site audios during law enforcement.

 Normal recording

a. In the preview mode, long press the preprogrammed Audio Recording key to start recording.

The LCD touch screen displays the recording time.


b. Long press the preprogrammed Audio Recording key again to end recording.

6.3 Evidence Tagging


You can tag videos or audios as key evidence during or after recording.

 During Recording

Long press the Tagging key.

 After Recording

a. On the home screen, tap Gallery.

b. Enter the password (123456 as initial password).

c. Tap Video, Photo, or Audio to enter the respective playback list.

d. In the upper right corner of the screen, tap Operate.

e. Tap TAG.

f. Select one or multiple recordings, and then tap Tag.

Emergency video recordings will be automatically tagged.

6.4 Photo Taking


You can take photos during law enforcement.

Before photo taking, set the related parameters. For details, see 5 System Settings.

Press the preprogrammed Photo Taking key to take a photo.


6.5 Photo Snapshot
You can snapshot the key static scenes during the video recording.

During video recording, press the preprogrammed Photo Taking key to snapshot a photo.

6.6 Flashlight
On the home screen, swipe down from the status bar to enter the control center.

Tap to turn on the flashlight.


To turn off the flashlight, tap .

6.7 Emergency Alarms


 Turn on emergency alarms

Press the Emergency key.

The product gives a voice prompt "Enter emergency mode", starts tagged recording, and sends an emergency
message to the dispatcher. After the dispatcher receives the message, the product will upload the real-time
scene to the dispatcher and join a voice call initiated by the dispatcher.

 Turn off emergency alarms

During an emergency alarm, long press the Emergency key.

The product stops tagged recording.

6.8 PoC Services


With a PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) app installed on the product, you can initiate or receive one-to-one or one-
to-many calls over the public network.

For details on PoC services, refer to the related User Manual of the PoC app.
7. Videos/Photos/Audios Playback
On the home screen, tap Gallery.

Enter the password (123456 as initial password).

Tap Video, Photo, or Audio to enter the respective playback list.

Tap the video, photo, or audio in the playback list to playback the evidence.

In the upper right corner of the Video, Photo, or Audio interface, tap Operate to mark, add a label to, or
view the details of the video, photo, or audio.
8. Data Collection
You can switch the product into disk mode through the BWC Manager, and then copy photos, audios, and videos
to your PC. For details on the operations, in the upper right corner of the BWC manager interface, click Help.

Connect the product to your PC as is shown the following figure:

If you have purchased the multi-unit charger, you can also collect data through the charger. For details, refer to the
related User Manual.

10. Care and Cleaning
To guarantee optimum performance as well as a long service life of the product, please follow the tips below.

Product Care

 Do not pierce or scrape the product.

 Keep the product away from substances that can corrode the circuitry.

 Do not hold the product by the connection cable.

Product Cleaning

 Turn off the product and remove the battery before cleaning.

 Make sure the product is completely dry before use.

 Clean up the dust and fine particles on the product's surface with a clean and dry lint-free cloth or a brush
regularly.

 Use neutral cleanser and a non-woven fabric to clean the keys and surface after long-time use. Do not use
chemical preparations such as stain removers, alcohol, sprays or oil preparations, so as to avoid surface damage.
11. Optional Accessories

Use the accessories specified by Hytera only. Otherwise, we shall not be liable for any losses or damages
arising out of the use of any unauthorized accessories.

Contact your local dealer for the optional accessories of the product.
