Subject: - Proposal of M/s. Candor Gurgaon One Realty Projects Pvt. Ltd. Developer for
approval of list of materials to carry on authorised operations in IT/ ITES SEZ at Village Tikri.
Sector-48, Gurugram (Haryana) - reg.

Sir,

I am directed to refer to NSEZ's letters dated 09.05.2024 and 07.08.2024 on the subject
cited above and to say that the matter has been re-examined in this Department. The Developer
has indicated that as a part of business requirement of the Units, they have to convert their
existing brown power consumption to green power by using International Renewable Energy
Certificates (IRECs) to integrate renewal energy into a global sustainability strategy to make
the SEZ projects more attractive destination for the existing & new multinational Units.

2.From the above, it is observed that the Developer propose to procure 15,000 IRECs
indigenously as part of the business requirements of their Units, with the Units being the ultimate
beneficiaries of these IRECs. In this context, the following points need clarification: -

i. Why is the procurement of IRECs being undertaken by the Developer and not
directly by the Units themselves?
ii. What is the rationale behind the proposed quantity of 15,000 IRECs?

3.It is, therefore, requested that necessary clarifications on the above observation may
kindly be provided for further consideration of the matter.

4.This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
