Quadrilaterals Class 9
Quadrilaterals Class 9
ASSIGNMENT – CLASS IX
QUADRILATERALS
Q1. In a ΔABC, P, Q, R, are the midpoints of the sides BC, CA and AB respectively. If AC =
21cm, BC = 29cm, AB = 30cm. Find the perimeter of quadrilateral ARPQ.
(a) 20 cm (b) 52cm (c) 51cm (d) 80cm
Q2. The diagonals AC and BD of a parallelogram ABCD intersect each other at the point O.
If ∠DAC = 32°, ∠AOB = 70°, then ∠DBC is equal to:
(a) 32° (b) 88° (c) 24° (d) 38°
Q3. In parallelogram ABCD, if ∠A = 2x + 15°, ∠B = 3x – 25°, then value of x is:
(a) 91° (b) 89° (c) 34° (d) 38°
Q4. Perimeter of a parallelogram is 22 cm. If the longer side measures 6.5 cm, the measure
of the shorter side will be
(a) 4.5 cm (b) 6.5 cm (c) 2.5 cm (d) 3.0 cm
Q5. If an angle of a parallelogram is two-third of its adjacent angle, the smallest angle of the
parallelogram is:
(a) 81° (b) 54° (c) 108° (d) 72°
Q6. Assertion: In ΔABC, median AD is produced to X such that AD = DX. Then ABXC is a
parallelogram.
Reason: Diagonals AX and BC bisect each other at right angles.
Q7. Assertion: Two opposite angles of a parallelogram are (3x-2)0 and (50-x)0. The measure
of one of the angle is 370.
Reason: Opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.
Q8. ABCD is a parallelogram. The bisectors CP and DP of ∠ C and ∠D meet each other at a
point P on AB, show that P is mid-point of AB.
Q9. In figure given below, ABCD is a trapezium in which AB ‖DC. E and F are the mid-
points of AD and BC respectively. DF and AB are produced to meet at G. Also, AC and EF
intersect at the point O. Show that i) EO ‖AB ii) AO = CO
Q10. In figure X and Y are respectively the mid-points of the opposite sides AD and BC of a
parallelogram ABCD. Also, BX and DY intersect AC at P and Q, respectively. Show that AP
= PQ = QC.
