· EnterpriseOne Tools 8.98

Topics in this Document

· Information Common for all Clients
· Web Client
· Windows Client
· Development Client
· Pervasive Devices

Information Common for All Clients

Turn on System Restore Windows Vista

To Turn on System Restore, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, select Control Panel, select System and Maintenance, select System, then from the panel on the left select System Protection. On the System
Properties screen, select the System Protection Tab. On the bottom half under Automatic Restore Points check the box for the disk where EnterpriseOne Client is
installed, click OK.

Web Client
Note: Starting with JD Edwards application 8.11, the web client is required for running business applications (the Windows client is supported only for running EnterpriseOne administrative
applications starting with 8.11). The Windows client is supported with application releases 8.9 and 8.10 for administrative and business applications.

Hardware Requirements
· Contact your specific hardware representative for optimal system configuration for the operating system on which the browser runs.

· It is critical to check with your hardware vendor for sizing requirements when upgrading from XE or ERP 8 to EnterpriseOne 8.9x release.

One of the primary factors that effects the performance of the Web client is the number of cells to be rendered in the grid within interactive applications. If unsatisfactory performance is
experienced while rendering the grid, performance of the Web client can usually be improved by:

1. Reducing the number of columns in the grid by using custom views

2. Increasing the RAM on the Web client

3. Increasing the CPU on the Web client
